And the pre season in 2014 they got hammered 3-0 by Weirder Bremen, they then went on to win the title. These games mean absolutely nothing at the best of times and even less when you have 75% of your squad missing.
Ah the pre-season they played 10 games, won 7, drew 1 and lost twice, scoring 20 goals and conceding 10? Basically the same as drawing 3 and losing 1, scoring 3 goals and conceding 6.

The reason for all this isnt because of a few pre season results. Football has bee awful for months now. It wasnt great after September until January, but most were pretty optimistic still and okay with everything. It's been a fecking mess since January though. We had a few big game wins, but ultimately still lost the biggest games of the season to Chelsea and Sevilla. We followed up pretty much every big game comeback win with an awful result. We scored 19 goals in our 14 premier league games since Sanchez signed for United, and the general style of play has been absolutely tumescent, while so many of our flair players have been visibly upset. We all lied to ourselves when he first came in, laughing off people who said world class talents like Martial, Shaw and Rashford would be more and more isolated out of the squad in favor of older short term players. Obviously each situation is different, but at the time we were saying Martial is too good for him to overlook, and Rashford is our biggest academy hope in ages. Yes Rashford is still here and will fight for his spot. But what spot is that? Because no matter what he does, he is not going to bench Lukaku or Sanchez from the only 2 positions he has normally played in. All the constant criticisms of his own side, saying shit like "this isn't my side" and constant excuses and blaming everyone but himself for every failure. These are the reasons for all the negativity. The pre-season results only add on to what was already a pretty shit situation.

The sooner this cnut is gone from the club, the better.

We will beat them in the games that matter, no worries.
God I hope so. Get a good result at home against them, but I hope we go to Anfield and hammer them too. Especially since no-one got a result there last season (in the league)

Not too fussed about the loss, come the start of the season no one will remember it. Defensively we were poor yet some don't understand why we're in for another centre half.
