This shows that the club knows results are unacceptable and fans are getting irritated. That's a good thing in my opinion.

I agree this is going to be a long game and we have to be patient .

We are probably not going to be top 4 this season but sbould be stronger in tbe next few seasons as a result of what we are doing .

Worst thing we can do is start panicking and call for a new manager and start all over again .

They are making it worse by giving such bullshit filled, standard 'statements.'

Wonder what statement they will bring out when we face defeats to Arsenal and Liverpool in the next 3 games. I honestly can't see us get anything from them 2 games and both at home.

I personally think that this is a good thing. At least they are acknowledging the fans feelings and trying to right the wrongs they did for a few years now.

we shouldn’t be impatient.

Some serious guilt from United here, Clearly can see fans are pissed and are trying to dig out of it.

Mentioning they don’t buy players for commercial reasons is a bizarre statement to make, whether it’s true or not.
Practically an admission of guilt.

We’re in our death throes as a top club.

They are obviously fearing a revolt from fans after what has been an entirely negligent and even reckless summer on the recruitment front.

Make no mistake, we are in crisis when statements like this are released.

ESPN tweeted it today. Either trolling, a feck up or ignorance from them if you're right
I was just trying to look. I have def seen the opening two paragraphs before in an earnings call. So could be a copy paste job, or Ed is just wumming us by authorizing the club to release this. Desperate times for the club and it's supporters

So it's bullshit from ESPN and it was just said to fans at a forum by a clue rep weeks ago, probably when grilled by them?

Move along, so.

It’s putting the blame on the manager. All decisions are made by them. The manager who said all pre season he wanted a replacement for Lukaku decided he didn’t want one anymore apparently. Load of shite.

Yeah I don't think it's an official statement. The OP title is a bit misleading.

It's your regular spokesman drivel fed to the media.

We have become the 'Liverpool of 30 years' watching our rivals winning trophies.

I agree. It's quite something for such a statement to be released. Now fans must double up on the pressure.

Reading between the lines, this must have been a strategy in the past. We have constantly been battling between the 'commercial' decisions of Woodward, and what respective managers have wanted.

Click bait by ESPN this was from several weeks ago at the Utd fans forum meeting. But in any case the mismanagement since SAF is apparent for all to see.
Wankers.

But in any case as you say the club even having the gall to say this at the beginning of the season is pretty embarrassing.

adidas pretty much pulled the strings for the Pogba return. I have always been convinced Jose never wanted him, as was the rumour. It seems adidas also made sure Pogba didn't go to Real this summer.
