City were shite like this last season too. People are all to happy to chime in and be gleeful at their demise all the while making more excuses for Ole and the board for why we're happy to remain shite also.

Another idiotic thread from one of the usual suspects. Seems like there's no quality control these days so he'll be back with another gem soon enough.

City aren't all that, I fully expect them to fall further behind this season. Liverpool are gonna have it easy.

You see it more as a fatigue problem, I see it as a mentality problem. We don't have the leaders in the squad to push the "less motivated" players. I understand that they can be tired but I've seen our players (unmotivated) far too many times, sporadically during a season to buy that match sharpness is the sole reason CP beat us at home or even the main reason it happened.
Yep. But fatigue can look like exactly the "symptoms" you described. What exactly does unmotivated look like to you?

Most teams participating in the knock-out staged in the European leagues have been struggling at the start of this season. Copenhagen lost their two first matches, so did PSG, City are clearly not up to speed, Bayern München lost 4-1 today, Sevilla struggling against little Cadiz and Leipzig did not look very sharp yesterday either. You could argue that not all those bad results have been down to lack of preparation, but using other teams as arguments against United and saying we only lost due to bad tactics, does not seem to hold water.

Whoever think or thought that our performances these opening games reflect out true level clearly don't get it. We've put in labored, slow and weak performances so far, not because of our players level or coaching or any of that but clearly because of our fitness level which include all of fatigue, readiness, sharpness etc.

All of Pogba, Martial, Bruno and plenty others haven't managed to put in performances reflecting their true level, abilities so far and some people have failed to understand that it's due to fitness issues, be it lack of sharpness or accumulated fatigue which translate in slow and labored performances. But trust armchairs critics sitting on their sofa pretend that fitness issues shouldn't exist and teams which had longer seasons than others should be expected to perform as well as the better prepared ones right away.

Also  at this thread again.

Heck even Bayern felt the consequence of having a longer season than other teams which translated in their defeat in the league yesterday.

It's weird to bump this - their performance was summarised by stupid mistakes. It's not like their general play was far from sharp or they displayed fitness issues. The premise of this thread was that their players looked fit and ready to start the season.

This 5-2 result looks like one that could have happened at the midpoint, or at the start or end of season, because their defence let the whole side down massively.

But yeah they do look like any team can get at them.

Did you even watch the match they were sloppy and their pressing wasn't great.

They tired in the second half v Wolves, toiled midweek and tired as the game went on today.
Its not a coincidence.

We won this weekend and they didn’t. We showed that there are no excuses for them to jot win a football match, because we won one.
