Didn't he have like almost 2 wks to get pissed if he wanted to? We did he do it closer to the game is a mistery.
Exactly. great point. The time to get rid is now. Hopeful other teams smell an opportunity to purchase and make us an offer which should be accept without thought.
Have a think, Rashford will be offer nothing when his pace fails. He is not a baller. Cash in now and move on. This is irrelevant of who's manager.

I don't know, man. In the grand scheme of things, missing training isn't a big deal for me.

Good news that it sounds like he’s fit for the Wolves match. Hopefully we will see the Rash-Hoj-Nacho frontline again. With most of our first choice midfield and defence back again, I think that’s got real promise. Would be good to put down a statement performance against something of a bogey team for us.
Setting the expectations way too high for us to be disappointed. We’ve not put a strong comfortable performance since god knows when.

Yeah same. No more excuses, we need to win cleanly.

Honestly think it’s reached the stage with him the club need to sit him down, and ask if he actually wants to be here.

Does he want to fight and help drag us where we want to go? If not; move him on.

What difference does it make, the club will want to keep him anyway

Yeah that's the mind boggling part. This guy is 26, has achieved feck all in his footballing career and yet he is the face of the club and it's highest paid player.

You keep rewarding bang average midtable level players like these who have one worldie of a season in 6-7 years and then you ask why are we in such a mess.
And it wasn't even a worldie of a season - more like a worldie patch of form bookended by the usual mediocrity.

Only one of a limited number that could absorb those wages he is on.

Would be great from an FFP accounting standpoint as he’s an academy product.

Maybe it’s time for pastures new and new surroundings for Rashford.

Exactly. The bollocks about "money doesn't exempt you from problems" like that is so magic wisdom. Of course it doesn't but it helps with a hell of a lot of them. He will also have access to the best help and care that money can buy. The club would help and defend a player to the hilt if they didn't act like a twat. In almost any other super well paid jobs these guys would have been out on their bums years ago. Been a footballer is a massively privileged life and the way too many of them behave is a joke.

Footballers these days are basically trust fund babies. They have had so much money and hot air blown up their bums since a young age that they have egos the size of elephants. The idea of mental health being some catch all to excuse shitty behaviour needs to stop. You say those 2 magic words and suddenly anyone who would dare suggest they harden up a bit is a monster.

I feel for the guy trying to keep his head above water, look after his family and work 40 hours a week in a badly paid job who has mental health issues. Not the 26 year old man baby who takes the piss at every opportunity despite earning more in a day than most earn in a year.
Good post

PSG must be crazy. Their current wingers are all better than Rashford.

Top performance, I still can’t believe people wanted him dropped today.

That first half was his best bit of football this season. Scored a screamer, decision making on point, worked hard, took players on....now he needs to show that regularly.

Ah and today was the prove on how important Luke Shaw is for his game.

Great reponse.

Now prove you can do it game after game, week after week, month after month, and I might reconsider.

So much better from Marcus than what we've seen recently. He came into the game with a point to prove and, even without the goal, you would've said he did just that. The way he sprinted after his man on transitions was something we've not seen from him for little bit. Glad to see that he's come back from Belfast looking more like his old self. :p

I still thought he dithered too much rather than just going for it and his footwork was still a bit clumsy.

But no doubt there was more effort there and obviously, took the goal well.

I thought he played poorly outside of the goal, but it looks like im in the minority.

I thought he was much better and I’d echo the sentiment that he’s been much better recently. I’d like to see him continue to build this partnership with Rasmus and Garnacho.

Yep! Let that front 3 play a run of games and see how we do.

Why does it take everyone turning on him to get a tune out of him? That alone should have alarm bells ringing.

Great response with a goal. He also looked more switched on in his genera play. He does need to work more on his decision making though. When he gets into one-on-one's, he can't make his mind up and ends up squandering the chance. He needs to make quicker decisions and either burst past the FB toward the touchline and cross OR make one cut into the pitch and shoot/pass.

Rashford's on the piss

Chant of the season
ah I did hear that correctly then. Wasn't sure on TV
Brilliant from the United Fans.

It's the reaction on the pitch that defines the story. If he continues like that, I reckon this episode will be forgiven easily.

Best performance of the season from him. Unlikely given how far we are from top 4 but we need him to be at his best if we have any small hope.

Started the game really well: nice goal, pre-assist for Hojlund goal. But not fit enough for more than a half now, to be frank - faded after the interval.
