I'd find a way to kick his ass all the way to Saudi Arabia if PSG don't want him. Heck, I would boot him to China even at a loss.

I know we slate him, and rightly so for the sheer lack of effort and commitment.

The other thing is why the manager keeps picking him? Why is he allowed get away with it?

Lack of squad depth is the obvious reason I suppose, but it's so annoying that he jogs around looking disinterested and gets selected by the manager, week in week out.

I don't get it. It goes against all the talk EtH does in the media.

He’s fecking shit - I’d take 20 million for him. I’m so sick of the media saying things like he cut a frustrated figure (they’d never say that about Martial.)

Ok let's turn this round, how many of his team mates pulled out of 50-50 challenges or turned away from blocking a shot?
I think quite a few did, I remember Eriksen doing this quite a bit. I think for the corner of Fulham’s first goal weren’t a few players guilty of that, Varane and possibly Lindelof? Hence why Bassey got two swings at it.
I get people have valid issues with Rashford, I’d like to see him dropped for a few matches because I think it would confirm that it isn’t going to be the key thing to sort this team out, we don’t have any options though unless we went Garnacho, maybe Forson and Antony/Amad.
I think he has become somewhat of a lightning rod for criticism that should be pointed at the entire team rather than individuals.

Sell this idiot as soon as possible. He’s forgotten what got him to the first team in the first place. Cannot press to save his life. Goodbye. It’s been entertaining.

What seriously bothered me is how he didn't even try to stop Fulhams first goal. He just turned his back. Didn't even try to get in the way. Infuriating.
This happens far too often with Rashy. I remember the Arsenal game at the Emirates where he cowardly duck out of a 50-50 challenge that led to Jesus scoring the 3rd goal. I am nowhere near a talented footballer, but I reckon I would have done better in that 50-50 challenge and at the very least put my body on the line.

Players are tracked on presses, sprints etc. if the stats are out there that he’s actually moving less throughout a match than his teammates I would like to see them.
On this, you’ve seen the clip of him and Barkley right. That would be classed as Rashford pressing. Where any sane person would say that’s him just taking the piss. There are many occasions players might get near someone but you can’t really call it pressing or even blocking passing lanes.

Funny think about Rashford is where is he going to go? PSG or Chelsea maybe, other than that I can't see any big club going for him. He might like Chelsea though, 8 year contract getting 400k a week and will have to do feck all. He's just a sprinter, can't hold up the ball at all.
He's a sprinter?! He hasn't hit full pace this season. He's a jogger at best.
Doesn't challenge in the air either. Doesn't tackle. Doesn't press. Doesn't track back. Doesn't look up.
Ronaldo was the problem!

Agree though, my worry is who would want him?! The only manager in world football that would pick him week after week is stinking up our sideline!

Dangle him in front of PSG and hope they bite. I’ve had enough of him now. Better players have left this football club and we’ve survived. Losing him won’t set us back.

5 goals (one is a penalty) in 31 games.

He's performing worse than he did in the Ole/Rangnick season.

It's not so simple with someone like Rashford. The impact on him sulking in the dressing room, the headlines in th press creating a circus and decreasing his transfer value. It's the right thing to keep playing him until summer and then get rid.

I would be amazed if Dave Brailsford is watching him each week thinking it's a good idea to keep him. The only reason is his brand value and SJR keeps insisting it's the football that matters not money. Surely they will get rid. Horrible footballer

We’re less than a year into his long term contract that made him one of the highest earning players in the league. Getting rid of him isn’t going to be easy.

I completely agree. We've heard for years how United want to change the culture at the club. Yet they keep picking a player like Rashford that walks around the pitch putting in no real effort. It kind of shows that the club aren't really interested in changing the culture otherwise they wouldn't stand for Rashford's antics.

He gets picked because his "lack of effort" defensively is instructional from Ten Hag.. The blame should be on Ten Hag but he seems immune to some even though our general play is pathetic..

Seems to me like psg can help us kill 2 birds with one stone. Helps our FFP as he’s pure profit on the books, and it lets the rest of the squad know that nobody is safe. If we sold the local lad who can do no wrong, we’ll sell your sorry carcass as well.

Thing is though, in the first few minutes of the match a ball was punted forward that Hojlund would have chased the hell out of and pressured the defence. This puts a marker down from the off – and we've seen him encourage others to press and, well, work harder.

Rashford just watched it bounce. He just doesn't work hard. He's become a luxury player, but without the goals he doesn't even deliver much luxury anymore. I've never seen him win a tackle either. If you're not scoring you need to bring something else – which is what Hojlund did when he wasn't scoring, and which is why many could see he would come good.

So yes Rashford's failings do get noticed, compared to someone like Hojlund.

I didn’t see the game, only MOTD. But the counter from a Bruno corner where he makes zero effort to intercept and then strolls back. Absolute coward.

Looks like he's given up. I think he needs a fresh start somewhere so it's better for both him and man utd to part ways.

Clearly a whole load of bollocks because anyone else who plays his position is tasked with tracking back.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Rashford ran a comp recently where he asked posters to reply and he’d randomly give out tickets to one lucky winner.

The winner? A Man United “fan” (guy knows f all about us, just another poster who uses us for clicks) with a million Twitter followers who’s a HUGE Rashford supporter, though randomly uses a Martial pic as image. What a coincidence.

He didn't try when down in an fa cup final to City. Those expecting him to give a lolly about the fans or the club are masochistic.

Do you think his effort has been good enough?
Why some people need stats is beyond me. Just watch the game!! That should be enough for anyone to see clear as day he loses 50/50s and let’s the ball winner run away from him as he walks towards his own goal

What Ineos do about Rashford will tell you everything you need to know about how serious they are about running our club.

Giving him yet another chance under a sixth manager (not counting Carrick) purely because of who he is (because it damn well can’t be because of his output) would be absurd.
Couldn’t agree more. Watching on with much interest.

not optimistic they’ll make the right decision though but hoping to be proven wrong.

Just read a stat on twitter that he had no chances created for him and only received 19 passes. Like with Hojlund, our system doesn’t allow for strikers to thrive.
certainly not in terms of goals, but i dont think anybody is criticising him for not scoring. The difference between a poorly supplied hojlund and a poorly supplied rashford is so stark. He's a lazy player, who projects absolute resentment for having to play football. There is no joy, no sense of effort, or resilience, or motivation to do anything but will the game to end. I hate watching him, I hate when he's in the team and think there are about 50 players in the league, who while not having the hype machine or having matched rashfords rare highs, would offer us more every single week. I was watching arnautovic for inter during the week thinking of how this forum had a meltdown at the prospect of taking him on loan. I dont particularly like arnautovic, and he's simply not of a high enough standard to be what united are aiming for, and still I'd have him in the team above rashford every single week. The difference in how the 2 players approach the game is incredible. You could say the same for almost every attacker in the league.

Imagine being Omari Forson yesterday- probably nervous and looking around him for an example. and you have a player whos been through the same academy, a local player, slouching around like rashford. No support, no leadership, no example to follow. As a young player next to him you'd feel totally alone in that sense (obviously there are other players to support him). I cant even imagine him giving some meaningful words of encouragement to a new young player emerging, or even thinking to.

I wouldn’t be surprised if his win was co-ordinated considering the odds of winning such a thing (and how convenient the guy with a million followers won it), and Rashford loves that PR machine.

People like that are in the same bracket as Goldbridge. They’re a court jester who you can either laugh at or roll your eyes at, and you’ll never take them seriously which they deep down resent.

Eriksen is too slow to pull out of challenges, on their first goal, poor positioning maybe, the first effort was mishit and blocked, and the second was a rocket that was in the goal before anyone could really move, no one pulled out of anything

As for options, quite honestly you could put Maguire upfront and he'd do better than Rashford, even McT wou;d be worth a try
