Sounds like deflecting from Ten Hag... It's a valid point by Carragher and it's why we concede 20 shots per game, you can't just write it off as an agenda against us. We want to hear why are we conceding 20 shots per game and what Ten Hag is going to do about it, we aren't blind to what is clearly happening

There's enough to criticise ten Hag for without resorting to bizarre and bitter shite like this.
What's bizarre about this? Isn't it a simple fact that that agency brokered at least some of the transfers under EtH?

If you look at this another way, it’s 13 times in 775 games across three clubs/managers to our 12 in 64 games.

Was it Rashford that he is digging out a bit for being too easy to play out against on the left?

I agree with this guy. I said something similar where I thought that we'd either give him some sort of new deal or cut him loose.

Hopefully it's the latter because think there are some quality coaches on the market this summer

ETH on Antony: "When he plays like I know from the past he is unstoppable, no defender can stop him because he's one of the quickest players in the first 10 yards."

He just lost more credibility with me. Antony is very quick over 3 or 4 yards, no way he is one of the quickest the first 10 yards. I doubt he even believes what he is saying.

SJR has already made it clear that it is up to him and his trusted few who will decide on what we should be seeing on the pitch, then they’ll choose managers to make it so. This is the correct method, as you then build a squad of players and set up the academies this way, and it is only the job of the manager to coach them players.

I don’t expect the football we’re seeing now or anytime during this season is what they want, so I expect some very quick decisions to be made regarding ETH.

If he doesn’t show that he can play the football they want, he is out. However, I think I agree with Nev, they’re smart people and seem to be ahead of the curve with recruitment, so they’ll have made a decision or very close to.

I also think that we may go the way of Bayern and announce ETH’s future as I suspect we’ll be putting feelers out for other managers and that will most likely get leaked, which wouldn’t be a good look. I think they’ll get ahead of the media and make the announcement.
Fingers crossed that they announce he's leaving much like we saw with Guardiola when Pellegrini was still the manager at City

You could see that as he's been reassured of his future by Ratcliffe and Brailsford or he's been told it's over come end of the season. I really can't decide which of those it is from that quote. Maybe I need to be reading between the lines.

Like Carragher said though, other big teams want a manager this summer. In the dreaded event we decide to give him longer than the summer, we could miss out on all of the best options. Imagine 2 months into next season and we want to sack him but there are no options...where do we go from there? We'd have to play out a season with a manager approaching the end of his contract, which would just cause unrest with the squad once again as they'd know he's on borrowed time.

Really the only options are to sack soon, or by the very beginning of summer, or take the extremely unpopular choice of giving him a new contract.

Can I add that Pep and Klopp have been at their clubs for about 7 years each. Ten Hag's been with us for less than 2...

I watched it and I think he was just waffling in his usual manner. They pushed him on what the future looks like and he just went on about developing players and winning games.

Yeah when you start making daft statements in press conferences then there is a problem

There’s no way they’re told him oh by the way you’re gone at the end of the season.

He knows he's gone. He can't look at everything that's going on and say to himself "yeah this is going great, I'm untouchable".

Where he says "But" indicates he knows he won't be here, BUT I have to keep trying to win every day and progress the teams development. Professionalism goes a long way in football.

He does seem like a dead man walking right now. I feel that come Sunday evening, his position will look even more precarious.

Manager in defending his own player shocker.

When this place gets toxic about a manager it also gets remarkably stupid.
My issue is that he's saying he believes Antony is unstoppable when he's in form (which is wrong) but he's choosing a player from the youth team ahead of him. How the feck is that going to get Antony back in form? Is ETH just a complete idiot? The only way he will find form is by playing, some things coming off and him building confidence. Playing Forsun is just destroying his confidence and making him a laughing stock.

This alone is why I care very little for him as a manager. He was supposed to, at the very least, improve midfield. Yet he has tossed it and his principles to the wayside.

How can he be trusted to chart our new era.

I will celebrate to the high heavens when he is booted out of this club.

If you havent noticed with our baldy he's always right and never wanted to receive input or criticism from anyone. It's always somebody else's fault. If we the fans as layman are able to spot the huge fecking gap in our midfield then ETH is either a moron or a stubborn mule. The fact he brushed off Ragnick's advice was a huge red flag imo. I really think he is worse than Ole right now unless he can turn it around but he's not Jesus so he aint performing any miracle.

Wasn't the point of playing Forson over Antony that Garnacho and Rashford didn't have to change position since they'd being playing relatively well on the right/left.

Ratcliffe has made it clear his ambition is to take United back to the top. Reassuring a mediocre manager like Ten Hag that he's safe in his job for the next season would completely contradict such ambition

Amrabat was Dutch based so presumably joined when in Holland. Rasmus is the only other. No Dutch players.
Do you not think it is fair to say that ETH likely had influence in pushing our targets to SEG prior to signing for us? We've not signed a player for years that is represented by them, then they're involved with 3 deals this summer.

Depay was unstoppable in the Eredivisie also. Better than Antony yet look how that worked out for us. There's levels to this game and ten Hag himself is below PL class.
