Absolutely! We win it’s ten hag, we lose its rashford and Bruno
I’d say the other way round to be fair. We win the players get credit. We lose and it’s ETH even though he doesn’t miss the chances that gets missed.

It's one moment in a game Liverpool were dominating since half time.

It's more like it's on Harvey Elliott and Gakpo for messing up a 5 on 2 to make it three one

Anyway watch the game
Likewise :)

Still. The players miss the chances not the manager. Players get credit when we win but manager gets criticised when we lose. How does that work?
Players miss chances, by nature forwards miss more than they score, that's part of the game. Setting up with no midfield and inviting the opposition onto us isn't the fault of Rashford and nor is it his fault if we lose the game.

Are you for real? Our players get slammed when we lose, aswell as the manager
If a player that the manager brings on gets the winner then he does deserve some credit because he made the changes.

No manager misses chances just as no manager scores the goals. What point are you making? Managers are redundant because they aren't on the pitch?

No but if we batter a team for example and miss dozens of chances and lose 1-0 then I don’t get how the manager can be blamed.

It doesn't matter. People have their mindsets. Its a bad performance no matter what. Just human nature.
I mean, we had a great first 20-25 minutes, and a great end to the game. A lot of football happened in between in which we were second best. Saying otherwise is just trying to gaslight people

People are treating this thread like a match performance one.

Anyone drawing too many conclusions from this game, be they good or bad, shouldn’t.

Personally think the guys overall performance hasn’t been good enough but today, I’m entertained as much as disappointed so that’s an improvement.

Yeah, the first 40 minutes the best of the season and the response late in the second half with all those players on the fringes is quite impressive. Most people on here were dreading a drubbing and the few were thinking Liverpool would beat us by a couple of goals. It's been much better than expected.
So if we have to sit through regular losses to teams like Bournemouth, Fulham and West Ham, but he also isn’t really expected to do anything today at home to our biggest rivals, where is the expectation?

If this is “better than expected”, where are we as a club?

I'm not saying anything of the sort. Only that in isolation this has been a performance no one expected.

Agreed, you cannot possibly hold this game against him. It’s been far better than expected.

You also cannot really consider it a corner turned or anything.

I didn't say that. I said we've been great and we have. Dominated Liverpool for how long now?

It should be the bare minimum though, that’s my point. We are in a situation where the bare minimum and not getting thrashed or making ludicrous team decisions and tactical errors is being praised/acknowledged.

It’s another loss today, the 17th across all competitions this season. It’s atrocious.

He is holding the team back.

New manager and 5-6 new signings and we are flying.

He is so out of his depth. We should be competing in every game, in style. Second half was not good enough and not sustainable anyway. That is why we dont play like this every game, nervermind every 3 days

I'll say we've been better than expected. We looked out of it for extended periods though. The players do look like are trying, but our set-up is still shaky
