For me the question is:
New coach
Clear out of players. Only keep who can play the way the club want.

We are not getting both. A new manager will keep players to size them up themselves.

We have tried the managers for 10 years and none have "been good enough"

Let try looking the players.

This is up there with the bullshit about Ratcliffe liking players - it won’t be his decision and if it is then we’re fecked. Barrada and Ashworth will be deciding signings and who the manager is.
Correct but it says "Jim Ratcliffe's camp" meaning it's not necessarily him. Could be Brailsford, Blanc etc.

I’m not misinterpreting anything. To be a success the suggestion is to give players 2 seasons then move on.
No. Those are the words of Berrada.

See misinterpretation. No.1.
You don’t think any of the team is currently good enough so is your current view is pretty much all of them need to be cleared out for that success?
No.

You asked who is good enough to challenge for titles.

I replied I can’t definitively say any are. [good enough to challenge for a title]

See misinterpretation. No.2.
If so how are we expecting with injuries to significantly higher than 6th?
Because you specifically said who is good enough to challenge for titles.

Now had you asked me is this squad good enough to finish 4th, I’d say yes.

I’m not even getting into an injuries back & forth. We don’t play Citeh every week & if you go through lineups for both teams in some of our worst losses this season the opposition have their own absences.

See misinterpretation. No.3.

The Caf can be a disingenuous place at times but feck me.

Which players have been here 2 years min and are good enough for us to challenge for titles?
All from a Scout too.

Do we know if Brailsford’s still attending all games? If he‘s not then I would possibly think that’s a bad thing for ETH as the man who’s currently auditing the club has probably seen all he needs to see and has reached a conclusion.

Same old people shifting the discussion from the awful performances and way we're set up to the players, injuries and structure.

He's done lads, lets him go. You can use these excuses again when the next manager comes in if he does shit also, don't blow them all on Ten Hag.

We need to stop looking at some kind of broader approach to analyzing ETH. Too many unforgivable bad decisions and coupled with a team that has 0 goal difference with 40 goals both ways. It's sackable offense that we can't seem to score and defend properly, never mind a manager at a top tier club that can't seem to identify player talent despite coaching them.

It won't be his decision solely but at the end of the day, if you're paying the bills and you don't like the guy running things, you're going to insist he goes. Unless the guys Ratcliffe has put in place at the club fight for Ten Hag and put themselves on the chopping block Ten Hag will be gone if Ratcliffe wants him gone.

That is a such a hugely disingenuous comment that I wonder whether you are aware you have left the ground of arguing in good faith.
Moyes was in the position of a big "M" manager, as we still had the notion of a SAF-style figure at the helm of the club who has authority over everything. He was doing/overseeing the transfers himself, we had no DoF, and he was famous for being painfully meticulous, read "slow", when deciding on transfers.
He came from Everton so he was the one who knew best when Fellaini's clause would be active and when it would be expired, to put the blame of that baffling story on the club in order to absolve the manager is just ridiculous.
Similarly, Moyes would have been involved in the Fabregas pursuit and he would/should have known just as well as anyone else at the club about the plausibility, or lack thereof, of a Fabregas transfer.
The story with Kroos is that Moyes had actually put the transfer in place when he was sacked, and with LvG the next MANAGER, not the club!, threw a spanner in the works.

To use these example in a narrative how our club is hindering the work of managers is about as wrong as you can be.
The guy left it ages ago.

He just asked me who in the squad is good enough to challenge for the league then used that as a defence for why we should be 6th.

Yes, from challenge for the league to 6th.

The guy is disgraceful.

So why even bring Berrada up if nothing he says is relevant to our current predicament? You’re just plucking out his quotes for nobody to then comment or discuss them in relation to our squad? So why mention it at all?

What you probably don’t like here is that our squad has not experienced that level of clinical building and turnover of players. I hope we do get that soon.

Without that level it means that while our best XI or so players should be capable of top 4 the injuries we’ve suffered has meant we’re playing the kind of player who are mid-Europa league level and in some cases worse on a regular basis.

We don’t need to get into a back and forth on injuries you just need to accept the fact they’ve had a significant impact on our season and that to deny or downplay that is remarkably disingenuous.

If they aren’t good enough to challenge for a title then at some point all of them need to go? Or at least the majority correct?

Debate the post not the poster, what does me being a scout have to do with anything?
So you’re going to randomly drop a comment from Berrada, then refuse to explain why and moan that someone isn’t quite sure of the point your making despite them asking for your clarity.

How long is Ten Hag's contract? Has he another season to run? Might make sense to see how he performs under a better infrastructure before hitting the panic button?

Hopefully the new infrastructure knows how to coach a midfield.

Why not get a better manager under a better infrastructure?

Manager going into a new season with only one year left on his contract spells trouble, especially when said manager has come off an awful season.

He has another year. We have to be realistic that this great new structure, which may well turn out to be shite, won't be much use for next season anyway as Berrada won't be in place until June and Ashworth probably won't be until after the summer while more appointments are still to be made, the best run clubs will already have a lot of their plans in place for the summer so we're going to be behind the curve.

That may be the best argument for keeping Ten Hag, I think this year and the way the team has played all season definitively proves that he's not the man for the job if we want to get anywhere closing to challenging again but maybe we should let him be the man to deal with the transition and then bring in another manager once the structure is place.

What would that 'better infrastructure' mean for the day to day business of the manager at the start of next season? What effect would it have on Ten Hag's team selections, tactical approach, substitutions, man management?
Would one summer window under a new board transform the squad so much that we should expect to see something substantially different in next season's actual football games under the guidance of the same manager who is in charge right now?

If Ten Hag stays, things on the pitch will be exactly like they are now. If people are content with how things are on the pitch, it makes sense to keep Ten Hag.

There is a school of thought that it wouldn't.

Well one thing I think can immediately be improved under a better infrastructure is more accountability for under performing players.

Well done on totally dodging the question
Already been through it yesterday that the average PL manager would find it hard to have us playing worse football this season.

Ten Hag's done nothing to show he deserves a go under a better structure that our previous sacked managers wouldn't deserve before him.

Presumably that also extends to more accountability for underperforming managers and coaches?

You'd be happy with Southgate then I presume?
