I mean we concede 30 shots a game and play everything vertical. "Keeping the ball" isn't in our vocabulary
Yeah, but in fairness Chelsea were wide open too. It was a frantic game of football, I only saw the second half, so can't comment on the first.

Anyway, for me that last few minutes is on the players. Mount, Mainoo and Bruno tried for a few minutes to play keep ball and it was dying out, but I think there was throw fecked out for a goalkick when Maguire was the easy option that just gave them the ball back. It's stupid shit like that that's going to cost you in the closing stages of games like this.

Dalot is braindead and McTominay's pointing was something else, wtf are you pointing at? Just get out and close the cnut down.

Whenever we defend deep we leak goals. Why are we like this?

I don’t see how you can change everything about the structure and not change the most important bit. He is a dead man
He’s certainly not the man to take us forward, he’s had a lot to deal with but he’s just been far too poor to risk another season on.

So we’ll sack him then? He has 12 months left on his contract this summer
Think he meant he’ll be gone end of season. What’s the point in sacking him now for someone to come in for a few games. May aswell start fresh in summer

He's not the answer clearly but how the feck can you blame the last 2 goals on him

Moronic defending by PLAYERS
How many times this happened? One time eycuse is "great free kick", one time is unlucky goal, one time is a player's mistake, etc....
How many times he decided to defend with 10 players in penalty box? His late subs are always defenders and bloody McT.
He can bring Eriksen and play to keep the ball and/or push defence up.

It is always same pattern. We take a lead, he makes defensive subs and puts defence in Onana's lap. Every single time.

Yeah but I mean if we’re expecting him to be sacked in the morning then I don’t think that’s gonna happen

He’ll have to go, but I have no idea how anyone could have watched injured time and thought that Ten Hag is to blame

The players cannot do the fecking basics to see a game out. Completely shit the bed in possession, commit fouls in the box, shit the bed in possession again, don’t close down an open man from a set piece.

This isn’t FIFA. Ten Hag isn’t controlling the players. They are so fecking shit is painful.
But this is now a clear trait under Ten Hag. Throwing games away.

Much like the trait we've seen where we concede one goal against the run of play, completely shit the bed and quickly concede more.

It's not something we saw much of under previous managers. The players are spineless idiots but the same players didn't shit the bed this much under Ole. Which I can only assume is down to coaching routines and repetition about what to do when defending a lead.

Agree with you but it's madness when you think about it. Waiting for a drubbing from a top club to sack a guy who hasn't had us playing good football for over a year.
Well that’s our club unfortunately, some of the things that we have seen at this club in the last few years wouldn’t be seen at any big club in a billion years. Bayern have basically told Tuchel that he won’t be kept on even though they are still in the CL. We finished 4th in one of the worst CL groups and will finish outside top 5 in the league in his second season and somehow it’s still uncertain if he will be sacked

In fairness to ETH, both Varane and Evans going off was a massive blow.

Rashford offered nothing, Palmer already looks like all the player Bruno could have been if Bruno cut out his wasteful balls and dribbled abit more.

Taking Garnacho off just invited them on. Added to the fact Bruno/Mctomminay/Antony had multiple opportunities to go to the corner but gifted them possession back every time.

ETH has to go at this point. He carries the can ultimately.

But these fecking players man. Even Fergie would get sacked with this lot. Never seen such a bunch of cowards and imbeciles make up a team on a football pitch.

Ultimately, on ETH for not binning most of them immediately and instead giving them the benefit of the doubt. It should be obvious to any manager worth his salt going in to this club that these players are a total shambles not fit to put on the shirt.

What instructions are they getting though at 3-2? What is the actual plan for us to try to see a game out? Is it low-block and counter? Is it keep the ball? We do neither, and we've done neither all season when ahead.

Managers are supposed to prepare their team for these scenarios, and yet we're all over the place and completely confused even in the last minute at 3-3

We got beat in the last minute and you’re frothing at the gash. Have a look at yourself. Weird.
I have long given up on this season. I was angry at every defeat until I realised nothing will change anytime soon. I'm not frothing at us losing, I'm laughing at posters like you who desperately defend ETH. I think you'll find I feel sorry for most of the players.

Injury forced ones aside the subs were also terrible.

Took away our threat completely.

He must be on thin ice. I don't see much of a chance against Liverpool but you never know as sometimes we put in a performance against the big teams.

Honestly can someone tally up how many late goals we've conceded under him. It's even worse than when Ole was in charge i think. Teams reflect their manager. Under fergie we never gave up and fought till the end. Under this guy the minimum is enough and he chokes and panics in crunch time.

Why is he swapping Dalot and AWB's position every week when there's no need to. At least try to keep one thing consistent about our shamble defense for feck sake.
Has done the same with our centre backs as well.....

Is there a single person left tonight the board who thinks he shouldn't be sacked?

Should have been sacked many times over at this point

He’s done. I’m not even that angry with him tonight. Maybe because we were relatively fun to watch, scored two quality goals. But it’s over

Surviving summer looks pretty unlikely tbh. Absolute clown show. Liverpool will hit double figures.

I don't give a shite that Chelsea were wide open though? Chelsea are awful, a fully midtable side for 2 years now I'm not going to base my appraisal of my own team through them.

Again the final 5 minutes was poor from Dalot and then a culmination of the entire game with trying to withstand more pressure. And I don't expect us to suddenly become adept at playing a short possession game when we've literally NEVER DONE IT in the entirety of Ten Hag's time here. It's not like this was the first time we've failed to kill a game off.

I for one am shocked TenHagOut isn't trending on twitter yet.
If the INEOS lot have any spine, a new manager should be managing this team by Sunday.
That would be a ridiculous decision unless they know what's coming next.

Our biggest thing now should (whatever happens) making a decision and putting a long term strategy in place to back up that decision.

If they've identified a long-term successor, great. Appoint him now. Otherwise, you stick with what you have.

Any short term appointment just runs the risk of making the same short term gain long term pain decisions that we've done a lot post Mourinho.

incredible defeat again, I am a United follower from Seville for more than 25 years and you do not have to carry ETH again, it is very mediocre but you will not try to win with a half-dead Bruno Fernández and with a defense in pain, Evans and Maguire do not ? The team is rubbish, don't let them fool you anymore...this United team can't do much more. It's not so much a question of the coach as much as it is a question of the players and the quality and hunger in them.

Because the season is over as of today. We won’t get CL and we won’t win the FA cup, there’s at least a chance we win the FA cup if we bring someone else in so take the risk with an interim.

Oh I just wanted to know your thoughts on the manager after that shambles.
For what it’s worth, I don’t mind disagreeing with posters, I don’t mind contextualising everything and I don’t mind genuine attempts at people wanting my views.

Rarely am I disappointed by a poster. But congratulations @Dr. Dwayne youre on the list.

New manager on Sunday would be ridiculous.

But we should do a Bayern and announce he is leaving in the summer. That'll be a nice morale boost for everyone for Sunday.
