I don't mind Potter, he's a good manager who didn't do badly at Chelsea in the underlying numbers and they've done much worse in that since he left. Plus there's always adapting to do for a big club, so I'd rate him as an unknown at this level still.
He was awful at Chelsea and out of his depth. What on earth did you even see?

It’s not looking good for him at all, however, we’re just going to replace him with another gamble and in 12 months time the fans will probably be calling for his head aswell.

Why not give EtH another half a season with an actual structure in place and see what happens?

If Ratcliffe has decided that the way forward is Potter, (not saying I agree) then he's free now so there's really no merit in retaining ten Hag.

Might as well get shot of him and get Potter to work now.

A manager at a disaster of a club who was a bit hard to judge? I didn't watch them that much tbh, but just based on the underlying stats it wasn't awful for a long stretch. They've also gotten worse since he left despite spending ridiculous amounts. But again, he was disconnected from the structure. Failing at one club doesn't mean you'll fail at another. Have to have a good connection and alignment with the structure.

I don't think changing the manager will solve our problems magically. Also, last year we were on the right track and this year we just collapsed.
People are still peddling this fiction that last season was all sunshine and roses. Things collapsed after the Sainsbury's Own Brand Energy Drink Cup final. The last third of last season was miserable viewing. Do people not remember Wout Weghorst? Have you all purged him from your memories? It's been largely shite for over a year now. It isn't just this season. It isn't a phase. It's the normal of Ten Hag's regime. The bad under him now FAR outweighs the good. It isn't even close. And yet people are still defending him. Still clinging onto some hope that it'll all come good in the end, despite there being absolutely zero evidence to support that theory. It's baffling.

No, no way. He's awful. We'll regress even further because it's his stubborness and braindead tactics that have cost us.

He was institutionalised by this toxic club, just like all our new signings become.
It’s undeniable that this is pretty much how it went for Mourinho, LVG and Solksjaer in the end.

I still remember our performance against Spurs at home last season, played them off the park and was so sure ETH was the man we’d been waiting for. Never expected it to unravel like this.

I guess we move on to the next one

Because the structure makes no fecking difference to his abysmal tactics.

The players are bad, but they are not this bad. We probably look like one of the 6 or 7 worst teams in the league, and we are lucky to be where we are in the table. We get cut open easily, and we fail to create chances with any kind of consistency.

ETH needs to go. It's just a question of how. Wouldn't be opposed to a caretaker for the rest of the season, while we figure out who should manage next year.
Indeed, a good manager can make a team greater than the sum of it's parts. What we're seeing here is the opposite, Ten Hag's lucky we have talented players that keep bailing us out.

We defend like we're playing all out attack and attack like we're playing with 10 men behind the ball. I don't think I've ever seen a team like this before, our 'plan' is the worst of both worlds

It feels like he's not attempting to fix any of the problems.

Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports says we've faced 241 shots in the last 10 games. I would complain if we finished 0-0 but that's the first thing we need to be fixing, but nothing.

Because he hasn't shown anything to deserve that. What on the pitch gives you a feeling he has a plan?

People said the same about ETH until it was undeniable he was out of his depth. Potter couldn't handle the pressure of a big club.

I'll take my chances. If we give Ten Hag one more season, we will finish bottom half. Simple as that.

As soon as we mathematically can’t make top 4 he’s gone. There is no way on earth anyone in charge of United that understands football would give him a second longer. He’s utterly useless. His process is shite.

Yes, once Danny and Joey are in place our midfield will automatically have a structure. Ordinary mortals don't get it but a a Dof & a TD make a huge difference to a team.

There’s nothing wrong in firing managers if they’re not doing well. We have this old-fashioned notion of giving managers multiple seasons and it hasn’t really worked out. We need to move away from that model once we have managers who’re coaches and have less control.

Great game! The Athletic guys will be thrilled because we controlled the game with 57%!! O yes you read that right.

We are still on target for a 68 point finish. Our next big game is in 4 weeks time. We don't play PL for another 10 days. Then we have a lot of home games, to school Howe and his magic band for once and for all. I'm looking forward to that. Strange that Garnacho didn't perform. Casemiro is very bad. This game could have ended very badly but we scored 2 and again showed spirit. Ifirmly believe in ETH. I liked Dialo btw. Rashford and Bruno for once not entirely low but good? No.

Why? Based on what? We're compete shit with players he's identified. He's never done it in a top league, his football is crap and won't win leagues. On what basis do we trust he won't piss another season up the wall?

I think he will be in charge for the next 3 PL games. By then, CL football or any European football will be out of reach and the clause (which I pray he has) will be activated and his sacking becomes cheaper.
I don’t even see us beating Coventry.

If Newcastle play like they did today then we might get that long overdue thrashing. They're miles better than us, Howe is miles better than Ten Hag. Keep huffing paint, or whatever you are doing whilst watching us play.

Wembley is a big pitch so if we don’t keep the ball the players will be gassed and we could easily lose. ETH has to bench Rashford otherwise he can expect his P45

Just sack the bald guy and then give the last month to Ruud, who would do as a future head of youth/player development since he did well at PSV.

If i wouldn't have known that the man has integrity, I'd say he's doing a Jose of trying to get sacked with massive pay off.

Sadly, i think he's just run out of ideas.

I was pretty sure this was a joke until I got to the Garnacho part, then I started to think you're actually serious
