half a lap of magnessun v stroll going at it like they are fighting for 1st place and not 16th was probably the highlight.

Gotta love modern f1...

"Lights out"
"Go"
"Ok. thats 500 metres, go into tyre management please for 20 laps"
"dont bother defending as your not fighting against this particular car"

Yeah, that's shite. Leclerc not fighting against Perez even if he could because he knew it will ruin his tires and he might lose the 4th place because of it.

They dont, but the fans certainly do. Not saying Sainz would beat Max over a season, but he would be much much closer and win some races on merit. Would make the domination abit more interesting.

Perez is pulling his finger out, but hes a distant, distant 2nd place. Just doesnt deserve the drive. If RedBull dropped him, who would want him? Williams maybe? Or Haas. Thats the level of driver he is.
Ever thought that Pere is going fast enough to hold up the rest of the pack, and giving Max a massive lead?

From the upcoming Grand Prix in Miami onwards, the team will use a new name: Scuderia Ferrari HP.

HP are known for being a giant technology company, and now, starting at the Miami Grand Prix, the US multinational's logo will also be seen on Ferrari's cars. It would be the most lucrative deal in F1 at the moment.

Ferrari has secured HP as their new title sponsor (msn.com)

There will be a new livery for the weekend sporting blue as a throwback to old Ferrari racers and HPs corporate colours.

Just hope they're not using HP ink to paint it or they'll blow the cost cap in a weekend (shamelessly stolen from twitter)

Ferrari F1 influence spreading to WEC too as they threw away a 1-2-3 at the weekend with a stupid strategy decision to stay out on slicks in the rain.

I don't know I think there is a chance Newey retires. He's 65 and we know he already been part time over last few years.

Seeing as Ferrari offered to let him design his own ferrari road car last year.

Also hes doing this before 2025 season starts. Giving him time to design a 2026 car....

If this bit has any truth to it.

Newey’s contract with Red Bull lasts until the end of 2025 but he is said to believe he can negotiate an exit that allows him to work with another team from next season.

I would expect him to be put on gardening leave very soon,.
Could he have already been at his last race with Red Bull ?

To be the guy to bring back Ferrari is always appealing. This is the rumoured option right now and its a good bet.

Also an Aston Martin offer, compared to Ferrari might seem laughable but Lawrence Stroll cna pay him, they're on the up and they're based in England. Everyone in F1 will want him even the ones who already have his position filled. Will be interesting to see if other teams will try too.

I still think being 65, not attending races and being part time is on the table.

Please go to Ferrari and get Lewis back in a title winning car vs Leclerc.

If he does go to another team, it will only be Ferrari or Aston Martin i think. After all hes on the record saying one of his F1 regrets is not working with either of the best two drivers of their generation i.e. alonso and hamilton.

It takes a city to build those cars. Merc never had Newey in an era of domination when the regs were arguably closer to the next ones with regards to PU power being more powerful than straight up aero like it is now. Would be a huge loss for RB no doubt if true, but I wouldn't immediately jump to the conclusion he alone will make all the difference. Imho AM sounds more likely to me than Ferrari. Dont forget he already helped design the Valkyrie so the relationship already exists.

No doubt he is a genius, but I mean, he is 65. It's not that major shock that he could be leaving, IMO. He could well be a problem for their younger engineers for future years for all we know.

Red Bull Racing say that “they are unaware of any official communication from Adrian Newey notifying of his intention to serve notice and to leave Red Bull Racing.” Sky reporter Craig Slater also makes note that Adrian Newey’s contract with Red Bull is until the end of 2025. He however needs to serve a year of gardening leave after that which means that under those terms, he would not be able to join another Formula 1 team until 2027.

The BBC disagrees with that last part.
