Gaming 1836 - The Europa Universalis 4 Experiment (Hands-off) - Map & stats in second post - Final Map and Stats update - Timelapse video

Now this is interesting. It seems like the "ignore your own country and invade @hobbers" plan worked out. They forced him, and in the process @Tiber, out of the war, and now it's looking a lot brighter for the "What's a Poland" coalition of @V.O. and @adexkola. They're still technically losing, but most of that -16% is due to not having captured Warszawa yet, which is the main goal of the war. @Salt Bailly also has low war enthusiasm, so this could turn out any which way.

p4jDbBK.png

The numbers below the man with the gun (25%, 1%, etc) is war participation, so it's safe to say @adexkola is being a really good friend. They also have about 59k of the 81k losses you see to the left.

Edit: Ah, I was wondering where they managed to find so many men to die, but then I remembered that @adexkola is the Holy Roman Emperor, which gives them a nice boost in manpower (which you naturally use to reinforce armies that have taken losses). Salt Bailly has basically no reserves left, and adexkola still has 14k.

The Glazer dynasty contributing nothing and taking all the profit.

How many countries did adexkola have to march through to get to me? Like 5?

Okay the Succession War ended in a draw, meaning PSV does end up with the same ruler as Salt Bailly. But then I noticed something terrifying. Salt Bailly was already the same dynasty as hobbers. This is the dynasty mapmode (so not what hobbers owns... yet)

(You can also see from this map that VeevaVee lost his dynasty. He was too busy sieging P-Nut that he ignored the pretender rebels who were taking Rome and more)

Oh yeah, and this happened. Probably a while ago too, as we're about to have another institution pop up (Colonialism). Institutions are sort of limits on what countries can do (and how easy it is to get better technology). They pop up in one suitable province and spread depending on other province factors (like how developed they are).

Yet another example of someone allying a minor country that they den have to defend against overwhelming odds. Salt Bailly has precisely 0 manpower too, so the armies they've got aren't going to get any bigger. If they know what's best for them, they'll let @Walrus have his spoils.

Year is 1500? Maybe time to show us maps with current situation? Lets see who is dying next:D

Edit: forget about it. Yeah baby. Italy!

That seems pretty massive! So I've got the freaking Leonardo Da Vinci and the rest of the teenage mutant ninja turtles?

Is that going to generate money, or faith, or prestige, or what?

All quiet over in West Europe. All too busy getting pissed on wine and mead to do anything meaningful.
Myself, Shakesey and Welshy are getting ready for war, and we're getting shit faced on red wine. Not sure what order yet though

I think in itself it doesn't do anything, it just means you've got a leg up on everyone else when it comes to embracing the institution (which costs money depending on how many of your provinces have it). They also spread to neighbouring provinces.

Thank feck I’m allied with the Timurids. I didn’t fancy them on one side and @hobbers on the other.

bit concerned with how passive the Sultan has been, after a strong start. We let hobbers beat us to too many provinces. Should’ve attacked him while he was busy in Europe ffs.

Wait, am I done? :(

Stupid AI probably didn't fall back to Wizna.

Not done, just in a Personal Union under Salt Bailly. Your country is still your country, and you don't pay him anything. You do follow him in diplomacy though. There's a chance he could inherit your country, but you're probably too big for that. More likely at some point the union will break on its own, or you'll try to get out via war.

It isn't a major boost, but it helps give a slight edge over other countries in that you'll tech up faster. So for instance if you have exploration ideas and colonists, you'll be able to reach and colonise the sweet spots in America, etc quicker than your neighbours if they've taken longer to reach the same tech.

just noticed it is a Border War CB… that’s pretty rare :o

What does this mean?!

@Andycoleno9 bouncing back from his earlier troubles, he now has a toe-hold in Italy.

But I’m back here?

Not happy about any of this.

Time to turn the obliteration slider up

That first picture is the dynasty map mode, it only shows which dynasty your ruler is from. Four countries are now ruled by a hobbers ruler. But hobbers himself is still only hobbers, the country. Your country is fine, it's just no longer ruled by a VeevaVee.

Your country still exists and is largely fine, its just a different dynasty ruling it (not any of us, just an AI one). Doesnt make a massive difference in practice.

How the turntables. This time it's @VeevaVee who decided to help Hungary's helpless cause, and it's only gone and broken up the Italian alliance, since @P-Nut joined on the side of @Andycoleno9. Bizarrely, this also means @Andycoleno9 is saving @Denis79, who was still in the process of being invaded by Hungary from the last disaster.

I'm putting all the man power into this war and losing money only for my supposed ally to take the land in Italy, literally next door to me. I need a better ruler to put his foot down

:nervous:. I am in Italy just to help you to destroy @VeevaVee.

I swear. You must believe me

Lord Badonkadonk has clearly seen enough bloodshed to last ten lifetimes.

Not sure what to make of it really. Can I rule again? Just wanna rule and obliterate @Andycoleno9

:(

It doesn't really make a difference, I just happened to make your starting rulers part of a dynasty that happens to be called your names. I'm not sure anyone is going to have the same dynasty by the end, since it's so easy to lose one. The country is still the important bit.
