I wonder how quick TV networks will be to call PA for Biden.
Yeah he's going to have enough to win it. I don't think Biden would've said "we flipped Arizona" yesterday if they weren't sure. Trump has a big mountain to climb there it's unlikely he has enough.

Mostly postal votes though aren't they?Still 150000 votes to catch up
It’s that latter point about swinging back to Biden and what that’ll be. The issue is no one knows how much of what is left is late mail in vs polling day drop off. And frankly no one knows a huge amount about what those votes will be.So, despite there being loads of warnings sent out that the next batch of AZ votes would be favouring Trump and would tighten, but then it would swing Biden's way from there.. People are still panicking because EXACTLY what had been predicted has happened?
Well, predictions can’t be correct, even polls aren’t.So, despite there being loads of warnings sent out that the next batch of AZ votes would be favouring Trump and would tighten, but then it would swing Biden's way from there.. People are still panicking because EXACTLY what had been predicted has happened?
To be honest I dont know. Hope soMostly postal votes though aren't they?
Just to add, he also said they ripped Georgia even though they didn't expect that. Feeling real optimistic nowYeah he's going to have enough to win it. I don't think Biden would've said "we flipped Arizona" yesterday if they weren't sure. Trump has a big mountain to climb there it's unlikely he has enough.
Where’s the bantz that way? It's exercising excruciatingly painful to follow the counting of votes. Much prefer the Taiwanese elections. They have live counter on every channel
About as quick as with Michigan: they'll wait until it's absolutely certain.I wonder how quick TV networks will be to call PA for Biden.

Georgia said they wanted to finish "during the night" - and it's 3 am over there now.I read that Nevada will be finished counting votes around 6 pm, central European time. Too bad it's not a big enough state to end this misery.
Have the other remaining states given such a clear "deadline"?
Less up and down. True that it's less dramatic.Where’s the bantz that way?
Difficult to see it being that far off unless there’s an unexpected glitch.Hang on. The lady on CNN says Pittsburgh has counted all mail in votes, all that’s left now is a) some in person vote (leaning R) and b) some 35K late mail in.
Thats bad, if the numbers on CNN are already including this?
So, I guess the election lady was hedging her bets when she said that PA *could* drag out until friday?Looks to me like Biden has PA, which will seal the deal. Hopefully another big batch of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia votes will come in soon to settle the nerves.
By the current laws in place, that apparently was how it was intended all along, a result being determined late in the week. So, I guess the election lady was hedging her bets when she said that PA *could* drag out until friday?
Because it basically couldn’t be any tighter. Why are we nervous now
Ok, so Georgia may be finished first then. If Biden takes that and Nevada, then we may already have a winner around 6 pm in central Europe.Georgia said they wanted to finish "during the night" - and it's 3 am over there now.
Arizona will release more results this evening (evening by European time, I mean).
Because nothing’s happening. It’s like an international break or someone out injured, some mental gymnastics are involved in re-rating players & teams. Why are we nervous now
The trend is said to be that a lot of postal votes are democrats. What I heard on 5LiveTo be honest I dont know. Hope so
Also because the release of the vote count was one of the few things that has happened in the last few hours and it was positive, if expected, for Trump. One piece of news gets released during a critical time in an election process, a time that is also devoid of any real news, and people are going to run with it and potentially overreact. It is normalBecause nothing’s happening. It’s like an international break or someone out injured, some mental gymnastics are involved in re-rating players & teams.
Yep. No reason to think a long term trend has suddenly reversed due to inactivity. Nor is there enough ballots remaining if it did to ultimately matter. Also because the release of the vote count was one of the few things that has happened in the last few hours and it was positive, if expected, for Trump. I think you make a lot of sense here.Thoughts while biting nails and pondering results. There was an anthropology book called On Kings out a couple of years ago. It contained some curious insights around the relationship between ruled and rulers, especially in ancient societies. Kings had to be outrageous. There was the need for the king to be exotic: A stranger. A hero.
The ruler needed god-like qualities, but also to be sometimes vulnerable. There was a whole section on the king as baby, with nursemaids. He was watched closely. The well-being of people and the land depended on the king. It was a sort of magical thinking. There is a hint that they knew it didn’t make much sense, but it felt right. Of course things could turn: the king could be a scapegoat too.
In a way that’s what reality TV does. It’s an alternative truth, a soap opera dream with larger-than-life players. Trump is perfect in that role. Doesn’t matter that he owes four billion. His misdemeanors and locker room talk don’t hurt him like they would a “normal” candidate. He’s Donald. He’s ours. He’s so watchable.
Trump followers/voters behave like they are caught up in a millennial **** frenzy. Normal arguments around honour and morality don’t apply to their hero. But there is a downside. I suspect it will collapse awful fast if he loses. It would truly be a terrifying prospect were he to somehow win.
Yes, if he holds Georgia. If Trump wins Arizona and holds on to his leads in both Pennsylvania and NC, is that enough for him?
