He makes better decisions.
He's not as explosive or tricky but he's definitely more rounded and polished. Incredibly excited to see him develop. I think it's important that we buy another talented young midfielder for him to develop alongside.

you can always tell the great players...they way they seem to glide past the opposition. effortless.

I'm going to resist saying Best like.
I was thinking Cruyff :p:lol:

Seriously speaking though, Januzaj has exploded onto the scene. If he carries on like this he'll be on the shortlist for PFA young player of the year come the end of the season, no doubt about it.

I agree, I think even a bit better. Not the same potential though, but he will be a fantastic player!
IMO he looks a more intelligent player then Ronaldo was and has a lot more natural ability, and more deftness to his play. Sort of Messi like the way he moves with the ball at his feet. I think he's got all the potential in the world to be however good he wants to be, it just depends how hard he will work to get there and if he can stay injury free hopefully.

Please choose Belgium...

Funny thing, many fellow Belgians being annoyed with Januzaj refusing the Belgian call-up were saying that Belgium doesn't need him. "We have Hazard, De Bruyne, Mertens, etc anyway". I think Januzaj will eclipse them all very soon already.

I agree with all the hype, he really has the potential to be one of the best players in the world. However, we are masters of piling the pressure on him, Best, Ronaldo, Messi etc, c'mon guys. Lets let the kid have a season before we start comparing him to these guys.

No he really does have that ability... It doesn't really matter when we say it, it will be up to him to follow up with it.

I think he'll cope fine with any pressure and comparisons laid on him, he just looks so confident - like he's been playing at the top level for years.

Everybody is talking about potential, but he has so much actual ability already, it's insane.

If you didn't know he was 18 and looked older, you'd say he's already quite developed in a lot of areas. He's still to improve though, which is also insane.

Aye, nevermind how good he can be, he's already one of the best players we have right now. It's scary how good he might be in a few years.

Where did I doubt his ability. I know what we say won't impact on him but our expectations might not be met in the future.

In no way am I doubting his ability.

Best, Ronaldo or Messi? Whatever.

He's very talented but those three are in the top ten players of all time. Hype is ridiculous sometimes on here. Januzaj could well be our Özil, Wilshere, or Isco but those three, especially Messi, are out of this world.

All i am saying if our expectations aren't met... Its because he's f*&k up or been unlucky with injuries.

You just came across like you was telling us to pipe down incase he goes 'Macheda' ??

If he were to remain at his current level he would still be a very good player for us - just think ahead a few years!

Listen when Ronaldo came here no one would be having this crap about he could be as good or infact better than George Best... Reality was he had the ability. All I am sayin is Januzaj has the ability so why dumb it down!

No I'm looking out for fellow fans. Macheda never had the ability to make it as United player, Januzaj has everything in his locker to go right to the top.

He neither is as strong or as fast as Ronaldo. His passing is better than Ronaldo's though and his decision making will be better than Ronaldo's.

I think that he can become as good as Ozil/Silva (2011-2012) which is still great.

Ronaldo was a one off. He was a big talent who suddenly developed the ability to get a goal a game. Well have lots of top talents in the future but that won't happen for a long time. If it does, it's a huge deal. You can't expect such sort of development.

Go to sleep... So because he's not lightening fast. He has to settle for a ceiling below.

It matters a lot. Ronaldo is a beast physically and is very fast which makes extremely difficult to defend against him.

Some people are really getting this wrong... The decussion should be can this kid be at some stage the greatest player in the world... Not the greatest player of ALL time!! No one can predict that, when Messi can on for 20 minutes and lobbed the keeper on his debut no one said he would be the greatest of all time.

That being true, but you can't categories that as the only reason to him being a level above everyone else.

Messi has a different level of talent.

Regarding Januzaj, I'm just hoping he can be a top player and maybe reach the level of someone like ozil. Long way to go but exciting times.

The thing I like most about Januzaj is that I can't compare him to anyone!

Often you get a 'new Ronaldinho' 'new Ronaldo' 'new Messi' and they never make the grade. With Januzaj he seems to have a uniqueness about him and those are the players who tend to set the new standard. I hope he makes it.

The only thing he is sort of lacking is pace, that burst of acceleration that the Ronaldos and the Neymars had when they were his age. But he still looks like a top top player and hopefully he will continue to improve and grow.
