Glad Qatar booted out Saudi as well.

Japan has conceded 3 goals so far this tournament. Both to Central Asian opposition. 2 to Turkmenistan and 1 to Uzbekistan. Both finalist without a goal conceded in the tournament, will be an interesting final.
Ah apologies, I read somewhere yesterday that they were gunning for a record of 10 games without a goal conceded or something like that, but maybe it was KO stages only, dunno.Japan has conceded 3 goals so far this tournament. Both to Central Asian opposition. 2 to Turkmenistan and 1 to Uzbekistan.
To be honest though, that first game vs. Turkmenistan Japan played in 10th gear.
Half the team is different from the World Cup tbf, they’ve not been impressive in this tournament.Japan already had impressed me on Russia. They could have knocked out Belgium. Also very technical players.
I am mentioning Japanese football as a whole. They have a lot of interesting players. Beating Iran 3:0 is impressive.Half the team is different from the World Cup tbf, they’ve not been impressive in this tournament.
The score line is but if you saw the game they were pretty fortunate for the first two goals.I am mentioning Japanese football as a whole. They have a lot of interesting players. Beating Iran 3:0 is impressive.
Ok didn't watched the game. No team wins 6 games on a tournament being crap. The score line is but if you saw the game they were pretty fortunate for the first two goals.
That’s true but they’ve rode their luck the the absolute extreme. Qatar look like a solid side, I’d expect them to beat Japan.Ok didn't watched the game. No team wins 6 games on a tournament being crap.
I never mentioned the final. That’s true but they’ve rode their luck the the absolute extreme. Qatar look like a solid side, I’d expect them to beat Japan.
Probably because half their squad isn’t from Qatar, they have just given players citizenship if they play in the their league. How are Qatar so so good? Did they genuinely develop good players or just naturalize players not born there.
Qatar have not been bad overall in the tournament but you would always expect they bought their way... it is quite the trend.Did Japan play their full-strength team? How can the best team in Asia lose to Qatar wtf
They probably have imports but they also develop their own players, Aspire must be the best asian academy by some distance. Felix Sanchez Bas has done great work there from the ground up since 2006.How are Qatar so so good? Did they genuinely develop good players or just naturalize players not born there.
You could be joking and most probably are but for others who say this seriously, just look at the Qatari goals and tell me its fixed.Looks like this tournament is rigged so that people can think it was right to give Qatar the World Cup and they will be competitive.
Aspire is one of the best academies in the world, not just Asia. Al Kass tournament starts soon, it’s an u17 tournament, Aspire are always pretty good in it (benfica, psg, Madrid usually compete in it along with others). They probably have imports but they also develop their own players, Aspire must be the best asian academy by some distance. Felix Sanchez Bas has done great work there from the ground up since 2006.
Aspire is definitely the best academy in Asia but do they develop local kids or bring talented kids from all over the world and develop them for Qatar national team? They probably have imports but they also develop their own players, Aspire must be the best asian academy by some distance. Felix Sanchez Bas has done great work there from the ground up since 2006.
Mix of both I guess. I reckon they must naturalize a fair few.Aspire is definitely the best academy in Asia but do they develop local kids or bring talented kids from all over the world and develop them for Qatar national team?

I am no Qatar fan, but that's the furthest thing from truth. The tournament is hosted in UAE, who are Qatar's biggest enemy (alongside the Saudis now). Cheering for Qatar could be punishable with 15 years in prison in UAE. My best friend works for Emirates and lives in Dubai and he can't wear his Barcelona jersey in public anymore. This match and probably this whole tournament is clearly rigged for Qatar to win it all since day one. What a farce. Football the beautiful game.

For some people, Qatar , UAE and KSA are just the same. Islam, Muslims, Arabs are monolithic.I am no Qatar fan, but that's the furthest thing from truth. This is what makes it even more impressive. Qatar absolutely dicked on both Saudi and UAE...also beat very solid Asian powerhouses like Iraq, S.Korea and Japan on the way to the trophy. This is one of the most deserved Asian championships of all time. Winning a tournament with scoring 20 goals and conceding only 1 at the turf of your second biggest geopolitical enemy is no rigging.
Really, fair play to them.
