Salt Bailly
Auburn, not Ginger.
If Twitter was around in 1997, a similar rabble of gimps would've been shouting into the void about Barker getting the gig based on her gender.
No need to be bitter just 'cos she turned you down mate.I've met her before, proper stuck up.
She didn't turn me down. A group of us recognised her in the airport and she just gave us the cold shoulder which was uncalled for.No need to be bitter just 'cos she turned you down mate.
Yeah, she’s the weird one for not responding to a group of strangers. She didn't turn me down. A group of us recognised her in the airport and she just gave us the cold shoulder which was uncalled for.
In a world where these has been clear discrimination against minorities, it’s deeply disingenuous to demand equal rights when some corrective action is taken to balance the scales, and provide inspirational role models and pathways for others to follow. This is especially true after the global kumbaya inspired by the BLM protest. As I've said in other threads, it's bemusing to watch people angrily branding others as racist when they presume that 'positive action' is at work. But fail to criticise positive action, which is also clearly racist, with the same vigour.
If you were genuinely against racism, you'd be angry at the fact that these twitter loons (given their opinion appears so important to many) even have this ammunition.
There is a female on Soccor Saturday, ex pro with short spikey hair can’t remember her name.
edit: Sue Smith is her name
It was harmless, I'm not really one for going up to people on the tv but a few of the guys and girls I was with did so I joined. She was with a bunch of people and she barely acknowledged us. I just thought it was rude. Fair enough if she didn't want to be pestered but no need to be stuck up about it.Yeah, she’s the weird one for not responding to a group of strangers.
I'd react the same if a bunch of weirdos came up to me when I was minding my own business. It was harmless, I'm not really one for going up to people on the tv but a few of the guys and girls I was with did so I joined. Fair comment. Those saying she's an amazing, knowledgeable pundit are such bullshitters .
She does nothing different. Same "He'll be disappointed with that/Good time to score/I've seen them given" clichés as every other pundit around.
I don't believe that, not if you're in the public eye. I find it very hard to believe that you've never approached anyone you've met on tv.I'd react the same if a bunch of weirdos came up to me when I was minding my own business.
She is terrible, but then again so are all pundits that aren’t named Roy Keane or Gary Neville.I think she's fantastic. Charismatic but perhaps not as analytical as some. Most aren't very analytical though.
This role will suit her to a T.
Do you have a British or St Georges flag in your twitter pic?
I don't think she's incredible therefore I must be a frothing racist.I think she's fantastic. Charismatic but perhaps not as analytical as some. Most aren't very analytical though.

On this we certainly agree, but I think because they commentate on much less popular cricket, their relevance is so much lower. When cricket world cup took place in UK last summer, barely anybody outside cricket fans knew it was even going on . I didn't mind, as I like it that cricket is a niche refuge where I can hide in, but pundits from that sport will always struggle to gain national platforms. For the people that keep saying she is excellent, I don't see it, especially as a presenter, what I first noticed about her a few years back is that she doesnt breathe between her words, its like a constant rush when she is speaking, its improved over time but its still there.
People like Isa Guha and Ebony Rainford Brent who have actual pedigree as presenters already would be a better choice imo.
Didn't say you was. Asked the question.I don't think she's incredible therefore I must be a frothing racist.
Idiot.
Jules Breach is the best female presenter around for my money. For the people that keep saying she is excellent, I don't see it, especially as a presenter, what I first noticed about her a few years back is that she doesnt breathe between her words, its like a constant rush when she is speaking, its improved over time but its still there.

Exactly. Could well imagine McKenzie was frothing at the mouth then too.I remember people being annoyed that Sue Barker got the "A Question of Sport" job in the first place because of her gender.
Disagree that she is terrible, only slight i'd have is she seems to be quite agreeable. I even hate Neville now though. Can never bore of Keane personally. She is terrible, but then again so are all pundits that aren’t named Roy Keane or Gary Neville.
No different than the men then. Seriously why does it matter? people get so upset over a woman in football it's ridiculous. Those saying she's an amazing, knowledgeable pundit are such bullshitters .
She does nothing different. Same "He'll be disappointed with that/Good time to score/I've seen them given" clichés as every other pundit around.
Who says this is anything to do with positive action? As I've said in other threads, it's bemusing to watch people angrily branding others as racist when they presume that 'positive action' is at work. But fail to criticise positive action, which is also clearly racist, with the same vigour.

Been rumours about hookers and blow. Why was Sue Barker sacked?
Videos?Been rumours about hookers and blow.
They haveWish they‘d ditch Matt Dawson.
Huzzah!They have
Same boat.I think it's a bit of an odd choice purely because I don't think she's very charismatic, good pundit, but I've never thought she had the personality to be a main presenter.
Happy for her though, I've not watched the show in about 15 years so it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Now she'd have been a much better choice, she's got a bit about her, actually shows some wit and personality.Jules Breach is the best female presenter around for my money.
I felt the same way about Gary Lineker, when he got the MOTD gig but he's grown into it. Maybe she will.I think it's a bit of an odd choice purely because I don't think she's very charismatic, good pundit, but I've never thought she had the personality to be a main presenter.

I'm no SB fan but I'd feel pretty angry if I were her.
She's being sacked for all the wrong reasons and to be replaced by a rookie with zero charisma is pretty insulting. The existing fan base wont watch but the BBC won't care, they stopped considering the public's wishes important years ago.
Care to elaborate? You're on a roll.
Because she is white and old.Why was Sue Barker sacked?
