How many players in the world can own a whole side of the pitch single handedly like he can basically? He's a winger and full back in one player when he's on it like he's been this season. Just brilliant out there.

The amount of distance covered AND sprints he does is insane. If only we have a fit and on form Miki in front of him. Love Mata but we need to utilise the penetration and ball carrying ability we have on that right side with Tony there.

My unpopular point is that today's goal against us was down to Valencia.

The guy was amazing and MOTM but in all honesty, RB like Neville helped their CB's to defend in crossing situations & Valencia still lacks it in this department. We are sometimes so excited by his ability to attack- we some forget that he is just above decent in the ability to defend. He isn't rock solid & far from it. He is good enough for now but if we have some youngsters coming through I think it's good to start intergreating them in

How was Valencia responsible?

Shame he doesn't create more from the dozens of attacking positions he finds himself in. Becoming a v good right back though just hope he doesn't continue to be relied upon to do the wingers job.

How was Valencia responsible?

Not saying he us responsible- however there isn't a balance in defense yet. No matter how good-bad the CB's are I noticed that we just don't have FB's that support their CBS.

Maybe it's a thing of the past - but I look back at Neville & he had the ability to cover for Ferdinand as a makeshift RCB.

At the time the cross came in - we left Jones as the 1 defender against that cross which koscielny got in the way of - at that point Valencia should be doing defending as a RCB & helping to outnumber their attack through the Centre.

His wide game is second to none. His central play is still lacking. It's all just a theory & I am not bashing his performance. But if in that situation alone we had TFM; then you could argue he would have the ability to play a bit more centrally but by possibly less effectively in the wide-wing back areas.

He was excellent today, direct running at and straight past Arsenal's left back time after time - that LB did not have a fun afternoon.

Monreal couldn't cope with him. It's funny because he is quite predictable but he is so strong the opposition struggle to contain him.

So frustrating how he would take the ball past Monreal with ease, sometimes from a standing start, and then just stop dead or pass the ball back to Mata. Strength and speed wise he looked back to his first-season best, but he seems terrified to do something that might lead to a goal.

We had very little to aim at in the box all game to be fair. Arsenal dominated aerially in particular.

If he had the delivery he had in his first couple of seasons, he'd be the standout right back in the league.

However, he is what he is, which is a key player these days, even in this position!

I don't know if I'm doing this right but look at his Instagram message - he's lovely... dedicated his MOM award to our medical team.......

Yeah like someone else said, he put it in when we actually had bodies in the box, but we were shite in the air today and the likes of Rashford/Martial aren't going to be winning any headers. Pogba was the only one out there who could actually compete well in the air and be a threat, but it never really fell for him. Normally we would have Ibra/Bailly/Smalling in there in addition to Pogba, so our crosses would work better, but not today. That's why Valencia chose to keep the ball most of the time.

He's just improved so much. Going back 2 years ago, when he was getting destroyed for his RB performance in the FA Cup QF against Arsenal compared to this performance against Arsenal...

Van Gaal called him the best player on the pitch that day.

In other news Rooney dedicates his bottle to Tiffany the bar lady!

I've been critical of Valencia for a long while. But even I can't deny it but give credit to where it's due. In a week where one of our players show utter unprofessionalism another shows that Hardwork is the bread and butter of athletes. Very well done Tony!

He crossing was poor, kept getting in good areas (credit where due), but his crossing was shocking

His crossings weren't shocking at all. There were too many Arsenal players in the box every time we tried to cross the ball. We need to get more players in the box! If you think his crossings were shocking in that game, I don't know how are you going to describe Martial's crossings against Arsenal.

I can't recall Martial ever putting in a great cross TBH with you

Big fan of Valencia defensively but he does dither a lot to get the ball on his right foot which gives teams a chance to regroup.
Still a starter for me though as he dominates his attacker virtually every game. ie. he wins his personal battle with opponent easily.

So was he responsible or not?

Not at all to me. The cross was good and the header was good and so does the jump from Giroud. The only way to stop that goal was stopping Ox. Valencia isn't tall and not the best in header.

Do you even read? Here I'll try my best to make you understand. If you think Valencia's crossings were shocking today. How are you going to describe other player's crossings who clearly so much worse than what Valencia did in that game such as Martial and Walcott. Your definition of 'shocking' is actually shocking me.
