Started watching Elementary a few days ago, it's a pretty fun watch so far. Reminds me of House in that each episode (so far) has a mystery to solve, while an underlying story is unravelling about the characters lives.

Oh man, those were the days.

Sadly I stopped watching after like the 6th season I think it was. Think you will understand why when you get there.

I'd still finish it, but got so much other stuff to catch up on I doubt it would ever happen.
Still, enjoy it. :)

The poster for it made it look like some sort of Grey's Anatomy thing.

What's MoK about? Think I confused it with Mare of Easttown.
It's not at all. It's incredible. it's a mini-series about the US opioid epidemic.

it's about a prison town in the US and this guy (the "mayor") who manages all the dynamics between the guards, inmates, gangs etc in it. Pretty grim but entertaining.

(edit): also Boardwalk Empire

Homeland, Dopesick, Mayor of Kingstown.

Friday Night Lights is also great, albeit it helps to have an interest in American football.

Narcos: Mexico is worth the investment.

Tehran was quite good. Condor & Berlin Station slightly less so.

I actually shed a tear when it finished.

I remember watching the first episode on my pc after a long and painful download and I kept up with it every year from the it got released in the US.

It will live long in the memory.

If you are looking for an anime it's Full Metal Alchemist brotherhood. 2nd best anime under AoT. Also Deadwood and Boardwalk empire are great. You don't like Battlestar Galactica? I love that show hah.

Oh nevermind FMA brotherhood is at the bottom. Maybe try Death Note too. That's very good.

I was going to make fun of Solius for having no life until I realised I've seen most of his list and the ones being recommended to him :(

Is Better Call Saul the longest slow burn ever or what? Starting season 3 and I'm still struggling to pay attention

That's when I gave up on it, it was so boring and slow, but apparently it improves massively after that.
I'm only still going because my mate swears its the best thing ever and just as good as Breaking Bad and keeps telling me to watch. I don't think I'll be on the same boat at the end but we'll see!

Station Eleven is pretty good, especially if you like post-apocalyptic stuff

it's got Mackenzie Davis and Himesh Patel in it
really getting into this now and would recommend

the third episode is fantastic (directed by Hiro Murai)

Yeah I very nearly gave up too, I only persisted with it because of the BB link but it really does make a big leap in pace and quality. I'd recommend sticking with it.

Watching Mayor of Kingstown, its incredibly good.
I find it a bit relentlessly grim and Taylor Sheridan really needs to learn how to incorporate some humour into his shows, but it is excellent.

I also can't understand how it got panned by the critics.

I think it got panned initially by critics. Is this something that continued as the series progressed?

Jeremy Renner is like Ray Donovan on speed, it gets better with each episode, I hope there's going to be a second season.

Finished it last night, and binged it in a day and a half.
Looks like it set itself up for a second. Didn't fully enjoy how it ended personally, so I would gladly welcome that second season.

Assassination of Gianni Versace was solid. As was the Trial of OJ Simpson by the same crew.

Mr Mercedes
Modern Family
The Sinner
Money Heist
Fullmetal Alchemist

Not really interested in:

Mad Men
Yellowstone
Star Trek
Battlestar Galactica
Firefly
The Expanse
Marvel stuff
Boba Fett
Wheel Of Time
Cobra Kai
Most of the shows set in eras I don't care about like Vikings, Rome, etc..
Based on the other comedies you have seen - Detroiters, The Larry Sanders Show and Animals (the HBO animated show).

Amazon Prime has 30 Rock. Get in, haven't watched in years.
Watching it now, wasn't really into it during the first season and nearly binned it off (I think it suffered as I came to it straight off the back of Veep - which might be one of the best comedies i've ever seen) ... glad I stuck with it though 'cos I'm now into Season 5 and yeah, its great.

Like most comedies, think it just gets better once you know who all the characters are as people (and the show figures out what type of show it is).

I'm so aware of how true this is and yet I watched the pilot and never felt the urge to watch a second more.
