... or miss the irony.
It's more accuracy than being 'petty' tbh.

Where do you Gunners fans see him play ? Who could he replace ?
How many games does it take to see a player with more technique and ability than the likes of Fellaini, Bent, Keane etc? He pretty much ripped up Madrid in the CL even though they lost and has been quality in other games. Now maybe he won't be the most consistent player but he's shown his ability and whether Wenger can get him to apply it in every game is the key but the talent sure is there. Now maybe he may not adapt to the league or whatever but even then I'd still stand by my statement that he's better than the likes I've mentioned above and I'm sure most teams would have him in their team ahead of the likes I've mentioned above too.
Robbie Keane is not an internationally rated attacker...What, you mean like Robbie Keane?
Well I think you're giving him too much praise before he's proven himself yet.
Right now I'd take Keane over Arshavin.
Absolutely, the guy's a class player head and shoulders over the kind of donkeys that have been bought and sold for up to £20M recently. Sure he may not settle, he may find the PL too physical etc etc - but those are the risks you're prepared to take for real class.
You lads will find this funny. Arsenal's reaction to signing Ashavin.
Did that gif origniate on the Caf?
Robbie Keane is not an internationally rated attacker...
He's rated for being a Prem footballer and a good fit for mid-table clubs in the Prem... couldn't hack it at a bigger club--->Liverpool.![]()
Really? For the way Arsenal play, he [Arshavin] should slot right in. But they needed a defensive minded midfielder...not a £17m attacker
I don't know anything about the Russian league, but surely it's got to be full of hard lads?
Pogetetz and Vidic were there and if they're anything to go by, Arshavin shouldn't have much of a problem with the hardness of English footy.
what is the song called?

Point is we know about Keane - he isn't the real deal. Arshavin might be (I think he's not) but for Arsenal or Man Utd is an interesting player while Keane isn't.
Well you've got Tevez.Don't get too over-excited there Pete.
'Real class', is that why the only teams that were in for him were Spurs and you lot?
I think it's fair to say every team seen him as someone who could add to the team, but could at the same time be a complete flop.
Just as push comes to shove so 'might' turns to lurv. You've changed the tune since this summer, Pete...

I'm sure you and Benitez both would but now at least Benitez has realised now how Keane is just about an above average PL player. The rewards of Arshavin settling and hitting form are far greater than that of the same for Keane.
I sure as hell would rather have Arshavin at United than Robbie Keane too. Arshavin can make the difference in a match, he has the ability. As far as proving himself, UEFA cup final isn't a bad stage and neither is at the Euros where he ripped apart the Netherlands side which was hyped up itself and also ripping apart Real Madrid a CL team in the CL. Obviously he can't be expected to be amazing every match and it's not like he played for the best side in the world. I'm not saying he's up there with the best in the world or anything but it's a top signing imo and if he adapts to the league he'll prove himself as a top player imo. It's also worth the risk for Arsenal at the moment with Cesc out. Sure they could've and probably should've bought a defensive player but buying Arshavin is going to improve them still.
He's the new Ljungberg, haven't you heard?
The point is (as that post of mine disinterred by Top says) is that Keane is reliably not good enough - Arshavin might be.. Keane was bought because he was reliable, Arshavin's a massive risk..
Aye, it's not like he's played for Inter before or anything.
Good signing.
His Uefa Cup experience should prove invaluable for Arsenal next season.
Which French club do you support then? There is a Poitiers, I think, ligue deux ou trois?I'm afraid i don't follow your club like you follow ours

Which is the nearest ligue 1 Bordeaux? It's even below ligue 2 ,more national 2 (which is after national 1).Poitiers is a volleyball town
And the risks are far greater too. Keane was bought because he was reliable, Arshavin's a massive risk.
Yeah, so he impressed in say 6 high profile matches this season, that's impressive no doubt. But what about all the other times when he wasn't that impressive in his own league. What about when he got dropped because he was so inconsistent?
I don't understand though, why go out on a limb and say he is a top player before seeing enough of him to make that judgement? Why not just wait until he does prove himself for Arsenal?
He might well be a top player, he could equally flop though.

Because he threw a major spanner in our summer transfer plans with his unexpected demands to leave, despite earlier pledging his future to the club. But you don't want him back, why is that?
He's good enough for you but not for a top team as proven.
