Bale vs Neymar

Bale is bit lucky with his important goals from last season but he is really poor this season, nowhere near worth that money. Based on this season he doesn't look like 30m player, let alone worlds most expensive player.
Neymar has good numbers this season and is having good season in general, plus he is better player overall than Bale but considering how much Messi creates for him he should be easily scoring 30 goals in league anyway. He is really wasteful so I wouldn't take his record for granted.
 
I said at the time that bale didnt deserve the pfa ahead of suarez and rvp due to his lack of technical ability in comparison. It's blatantly obvious at the moment. He's a brilliant player. But he isn't technically anywhere near the level of most of the top players at the big 2 in Spain. 80 million a was a joke then and it's a joke now

He was still the best player that season regardless of his technical ability.
 
Regardless. Neither are worth 80+ million euros. Bale had one great season at Spurs and Neymar was a youtube sensation.

Neymar can justify his price, though. Whether he was worth the fee when they actually signed him doesn't really matter. They signed the potential player he could become.

He hasn't fufilled his potential at all yet. Bit too soon to say that.
 
Bale is starting to come across as having a poor attitude. When he's forced to defend, he's neither alert nor on his toes, and when he tracks back his body language is as if he's doing so out of obligation rather than commitment. When he loses the ball his immediate reaction seems to be to start walking.
 
Bale will never justify the price Real paid for him, considering that he is the most expensive player in history. I think Neymar will, after Messi and Ronaldo burn out he will be the best player in the world, imo.
 
Neymar is similar to Messi in some ways. He can produce magical moments and win games singlehandedly. Bale is comparable to Ronaldo, he's a physical beast, a machine, and has great skill. He has room for improvement and could challenge for the Balon D'or in the future.

I think Neymar is better. He has more potential and I'm pretty sure he'll win the Balon D'or at some point.
 
Would not pay more than €50m for Bale. Even then, that is only because of the favourable exchange rate.

I can see it being a shoot out between Hazard and Neymar in the future, with maybe a few others like Pogba mixed in.

I see Suarez as similar to Bale technically. They both have amazing moments but also some terrible ones. Suarez can look awful on the ball at times.

This is madness, the best player of the season isn't judged on who's got the most technical ability, its based on who was the best performer through the season.
 
I'd argue smashing in 30 yard screamers involves a lot of technical ability especially doing it game after game.
Technical ability involves Many things.
I do agree that Bale doesn't have the ability to work in tight spaces, which makes him useless a lot of the time. Didn't even realise he was playing tonight asides from fouling.
 
Bales confidence is shot.

But he is much better for me when he was playing centre at Spurs.
 
Bale was Madrids second best player last year and the 3rd best player in Europe last year...but the real madrid scum who call themselves fans have booed him this season because his performances have dropped...of course that is going to affect his performances...he´s also playing with the greediest narcissist in football history in Ronaldo.....Bale needs to come back to the premier league where his talents will be appreciated a lot more than that what he gets from that superficial bunch of idiots

What about somewhere like Bayern? Robben can't go on forever, and German fans are pretty excellent.

I really don't like Neymar because of things like this. I know Bale dives a lot, but at least he's Welsh :lol:
 
Neymar was Barca's go to player for most of that game until Messi stepped up near the end. His finishing was poor but he was close to scoring some absolute crackers.

I have also accidently voted Neymar in the poll, thought it was asking who is the better player :wenger:
 
If the question is who I would like to see in a United shirt the answer without having to think about it one second is Bale.

But you're still scoring a goal which suarez and rvp were also doing In other ways. They had the goalscoring he did but also impeccable technical quality and intelligence in close quarters which made them better (FOr me)

What? Bale wasn't even Real Madrid's 2nd best forward last season. Overall I'd have Ramos, Modrić, Di María, Benzema and Cristiano as better players over the season.

You overrate him hugely.

Nope. Di Maria, Ronaldo and Modric were all definitely better than him for real.

@Vato can tell us how benzema and Ramos compared.
 
Bale is too reliant on his pace and strength, he won't get to next level unless he improves his close touch. Neymar is very good and will be scoring for fun once he matures a little.

I'd agree with this. Dunno if Ramos or Benz have been better than him though, I would say they haven't. Not much between the rest of our players bar Casillas and Arbeloa tbh.

Anyway, Neymar's scored 35 goals already and there is a whole month till the end of the season.

Never thought i'd see a player in the same team as Messi get past 30 goals! Its good management by putting Messi on the right and keep Suarez up top, gives the whole team much more balance

Yeah, it's been an excellent, if fairly one-way, partnership so far, with Messi having directly assisted 13 of Neymar's 35 goals (8 in the league, 3 in the CL and 2 in the CdR). And that doesn't include rebounds or deflected passes like yesterday.

Messi's the main man but Suarez and Neymar help him a lot by occupying defenders and opening spaces for him to operate in. They are also very good at linking up with Messi and each other.
 
He's still not close to how good he can be but 50 goals in 87 games for Barca is an amazing record
 
Bale should take the FK's instead of CR. Makes no sense for CR to waste so many FK's when he doesn't look like scoring from them. He could very well prove me wrong next match, but his stats from FKs recently has been abysmal.

Difference in mentality, at Madrid Ronaldo is king and should score all the goals. At Barca its more about the team, this was seen a few weeks ago when Messi (on a hat trick i believe) gave Neymar the chance to score from the spot.

It must be hard for Bale when the teams mantra is "open goal? pass the ball to Ronaldo"

He does get to take his fair share of freekicks but i agree he should be taking most of them. He's a better freekick taker than Ronaldo. Actually James and Isco are probably better too. They just don't get the chance.

Neymar definitely is, Suarez still hasn't gotten the tiki taka football entirely, he makes some terrible passes at times.

Actually, Suaez has an impressive amount of assists to his name. So, his passing isn't that bad.

Getting a lot of assists doesn't mean you're a good passer. Suárez's passing has been inconsistent at best this season...often just outright poor. That doesn't mean he hasn't played well, but he could definitely do with improving his passing.
