Going nowhere with this guy. He’s so unbelievably wasteful in possession. Compare him to Bernardo silva. Night and day.

Hopefully Ten Hag brings him with him when he hopefully goes, because these two are made for each other with their style of football. I don't think I have ever seen manager and player being so similar in their style of football, and for bad reasons.
Huh? They couldn’t be further apart.

He’s Portugal’s best footballer though in their national team. You know the same team with Bernardo Silva in it?

It’s more the tactics at United and in my opinion you play Bruno as a forward not as a central midfielder. He shouldn’t have many defensive duties.

His strength is output. His peak at United for example he didn’t play deep and was ridiculous for us. Would Bernardo Silva have done what Bruno did in our limited side? No

Granted Bruno isn’t a City player either he doesn’t play their style. A lot of getting the best out of players is putting them in the right position and side. United haven’t had a good side for a decade so it’s hard to get the best out of footballers.

Hate watching him play tbh. No control. Just energy, raw talent and vibes.

Still, want to see him under a proper manager and structure.

He’s their most talented footballer though so we just going to gloss over that?

I’m open to United selling him as I don’t think he fits our side if we want more control but… he’s still a fantastic footballer.

I personally think he should go to La Liga. He could play for basically any team there and do well. Maybe Athletico since Real have Bellingham. I think he’d be brilliant for Real Madrid btw if they didn’t have Bellingham.

He’s the heartbeat of this Portugal side currently.

Arguably the most important footballer among any national side right now with hopes of winning anything in the Euros.

Even in the last World Cup he was easily Portugal’s best player. He’s rightfully the leader of their team.

Let me be clear. I could not give a shit about the Portugal national team. I couldn’t care less which league Bruno might do well in. What I do know…is that I’ve watched enough of him in a Utd shirt to not want to see anymore wastefulness, petulance, shithousery, poor leadership.

How is that relevant to United, where he's the complete opposite of all those things?

People are hating on the guy saying he’s worse than Bernardo silva when all the evidence when they play in the same side says exactly the opposite.

I don’t like our fans hating on our players.

People worship limited footballers playing limited roles in stacked club sides ithe issue. City have many of those.

They go to another club they would do worse than Bruno has at United. The game is built on tactics / physical attributes not talent a lot of the time.

Hate the tactical setup not the player.

Nobody is hating on Bruno. He's just been poor, and you can't blame it on tactics.

Groundhog Day. The 18 months when he first signed were great, but the reality of it is, it seems that was more of a purple patch than anything else. A complete luxury player, which our team cannot afford in its current state.

The drop off in goal scoring is really something.

2019/20 (half season) 8 in 14 = 0.57gpg.
2020/21 18 in 37 = 0.49gpg.
2021/22 10 in 36 = 0.28gpg.
2022/23 8 in 37 = 0.22gpg
2023/24 (so far) 4 in 27 = 0.15gpg.

That’s just PL, it may very in other comps but it’s a very clear decline.

What are people’s expectations for this guy? I’m not suggesting by any means that he played well, he was abject like the rest of the team, but he didn’t seem to play his usual game and kept his passes far simpler than usual, which is what I thought most of his doubters wanted? He also managed to pretty much double the passes of most of the team, including his fellow midfielders so he certainly wasn’t hiding.

Again, not claiming he was good, but the posts in here seem like they are pre-conceived or just repeating a general opinion regardless of how he performs in a specific match.

Why is he held to a higher standard if his doubters do not believe he has a higher standard? Help me understand.

He, along with very few others, is a good player in a bad team. Selling him would be a mistake.

There are only 2 players in the team who are older than 25 who I'd care about keeping: Martinez and Bruno.

He plays the way he does because he is not capable of playing in a possession team as his ability in tight spaces is poor, he knows it and tries to overcompensate.

Bruno is your luxury player, he has a crazy output if used in the right way.
When we have our backs to the wall (which is quite often these days) then he's not very pleasing on the eye, as he is very wasteful.

He's the creative spark in a well functioning team, he's not the savior in a low quality side like ours.

Problem is he turns 30 in September and he has barely missed games. The last player to have a similar injury record as him was Lampard. Lamps was never the same when the 30s kicked in.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Everyone just kept fouling us! Outside Bruno v Villa they all were pens.
I think there was one other one that was iffy as well, although can't remember which off the top of my head. But yeah, the rest were definite penalties, and in reality there were quite a few others that we should have got as well.

It was the peak of us having Rashford, Martial and Greenwood all attacking defenders with pace, dribbling and trickery, while also being fed by Bruno behind them. So much potential in that group, but unfortunately it all went badly wrong.

Probably, I don't really remember them. But we broke a record for most penalties awarded in a PL season. I remember it was just funny getting peno after peno.
It was Bruno to Martial if I remember correctly, Martial had this way of inviting the foul with his first touch and he’d be waiting to go down. There was a few stonewall shouts that we were denied after Klopps comments. We were playing some nice stuff back then and looked to have turned a corner… sigh.

Gosh... depressing. From that forward line i would say Rashford was the least talented of them all but he did achieve the most out of them. Eventhough Rashford has achieved less than hoped/expected. Martial as a former golden boy and Greenwood dubbed as a two footed generational talent. Hojlund and Garnacho are also talented players but i dont think they are rated as highly as Martial and Greenwood were.

That was the case for only one penalty…Leicester away on the final day.

I mean it’s pretty obvious, no? Because he’s the captain, undisputed first choice player on the team sheet, and the player everyone else defers to in the buildup and final third of the pitch.

If he’s the key player, he should be judged as such.

Been going on way longer than when he was named captain, to be fair. He’s first choice because he’s the best we have in that position and is always available. The alternatives have been Andreas, Lingard, Eriksen and Mount.

People wonder why we don't improve. Cause of favoritism, no competition. Playing the same players cause of achievements years ago.

Jesus christ, just do something different. What kind of message does it send to the other players. You can stink week in and week out, don't worry, you'll play regardless.

You win in this sport by putting in a performance!! Why on earth do we coach the opposite. Put in a stinker and you won't even be subbed. Ffs

He's reported to be on like 240k a week? Honestly him and Rashford are the most overpaid players in the league alongside the Chelsea scum
