He did it briefly with Lingard on last year's tour, and Weir and Lingard are incredibly similar players.Don't know why but I have a feeling LVG will try Weir as full-back.

feck me if i see the similarities.....one is headless chicken while the others biggest attribute is his football brain. He did it briefly with Lingard on last year's tour, and Weir and Lingard are incredibly similar players.
If that's actually how you see Weir, there's no point even arguing.feck me if i see the similarities.....one is headless chicken while the others biggest attribute is his football brain.
pretty much, i think he is a decent reserves player and will probably make it in lower clubs of championship. Solid movement, good engine, chips in with the goals and works hard......the only similarity i can see between the two is the fact that they are both offensive midfielders(AM/wingers) with pretty average dribbling skills although Jesse looks to be improving in that department. If that's actually how you see Weir, there's no point even arguing.
Happy to sign a 4 year deal Good things take time, now time to focus on the season ahead! Blessed
It's a shame they couldn't afford a table. A club of our standing shouldn't make people sign contracts on the floor.
I approve of this post.Just, the most excellent news.
It's a thing of beauty isn't itAnyway, great to see the early stages of the Redcafe Great New Homegrown Hope cycle in action.
Indeed.It's a thing of beauty isn't it
According to @jb8521 Williams has signed a contractGreat news.
Hope to hear good news re Williams and Dearnley next. And some sorting of the Kehinde situation.
Is four years a longer deal to give a 16 year old? It's a thing of beauty isn't it
Most of them dont know shitGreat news this deal.
Some interesting comments on Pereira in this thread too, people only a month or so ago saying he isn't all that.
I haven't heard the details but I think it's one year scholarship + 3 years pro deal.Didn't know that we're allowed to give more than 2 years for a first pro deal.Is four years a longer deal to give a 16 year old?
You can give any deal you want once someone turns 17...I haven't heard the details but I think it's one year scholarship + 3 years pro deal.Didn't know that we're allowed to give more than 2 years for a first pro deal.
Is a four year deal to be interpreted as a strong show of faith? Blackett and McNair only got short extensions recently, for example. You can give any deal you want once someone turns 17...
Possibly…but also to fend off approaches from other clubs. Is a four year deal to be interpreted as a strong show of faith? Blackett and McNair only got short extensions recently, for example.
Since Gribben is not yet 17, he can't sign a pro deal, so, presumably, the 3 year deal is not legally binding. A good faith arrangement? You can give any deal you want once someone turns 17...
It's a guarantee…1+3 means that he will be offered a 'guaranteed' three year pro deal when he reaches 17.Since Gribben is not yet 17, he can't sign a pro deal, so, presumably, the 3 year deal is not legally binding. A good faith arrangement?
Ah! I see the light. It's a guarantee…1+3 means that he will be offered a 'guaranteed' three year pro deal when he reaches 17.
