Last minute Origi goal.I think Liverpool will win after a titanic struggle, I can see it being a final where both sides do their best to not win it, but ultimately Liverpool will speak it, just.
Hoping the world ends before this.
I do wonder if the extended break for the two teams (Nearing on 3 weeks), will negatively impact on the final.
Come on Poch, you beautiful man!Fighting talk from Pochettino today:
"You don't play finals, you win them and we're preparing to win it."

I think its one injury too far for Spurs. If they had their whole first team fit and firing going into this. It would be very close. But Spurs have a raft of players returning from long term injury lay offs that havnt really played in months. Lamela, Winks, Kane, Sanchez. With Wanyama and Dier having just returned after extended time on the treatment table.
I do agree with the Liverpool supporter above. Liverpool were very lucky to get away with it at Anfield vs Spurs.
Just fecking win. For all our sakes.Only Winks and Kane are sure starters out of them and they are both back in full training in fact for the first time in a while we have a fully fit squad to choose from.
I think this match had it been sandwiched in the season with those players coming back then it would be a hinderance but both sets of players will be playing after a 3 week break anyway so in terms of match fitness and sharpness I don't think they'll be much of a difference.

Putting a huge bet on Liverpool to win this. If they lose I’m happy, if they win I’m fairly happy.
£1k. I just can’t see liverpool losing thisHow huge we talking here?
Bayern are?True. But inter and PSV are not the teams they used to be.

It’s almost a free bet for me really as something came in a couple of weeks ago. But like you say totally worth itTotally worth it if they lose
I considered it but the odds on liverpool were quite low. Just about 1.45 when I checked last.
Totally worth it if they lose
Spending 1000 of your family's money just to not feel bad if your rival wins a game of kick ball. Yeah, totally worth it.
Doesn't matter how much money you have.

1. He might be single
2. He might earn a lot of money
3. Mind your own business.
1. Don't care. Point stands.
2. I've covered that already
3. He didn't mind his by posting on here, so why should I?
Let's talk game strategy and tactics. Liverpool fans: what do you reckon Klopp's instructions and game plan will be?
The usual. The only sticking point is whether he plays Hendo, Wijnaldum and Fabinho in the middle for defensive solidity. And that depends on whether you play a vanilla midfield yourselves. If Poch decides to only play on the break then I can see Keita playing instead of Wijnaldum or Hendo to keep more (useful) possession and deny you the break opportunities.
I think Klopp has learnt from the City defeat.

First Post here, Liverpool fan but I'd like to think I'm a realistic one. The game next weekend will be very tough for us IMO. I wanted Ajax to go through but that may have presented its own set of problems.
We've obviously had a far better league campaign than Spurs but it will mean the square root of feck all on Saturday next. If you watch the two games we played against Spurs this season you'll see that there's not much between the teams when they play each other. Spurs should have beaten us at Anfield or at the very, very least got a draw. I honestly think it's about 50/50. I don't care if Spurs have never won it before or have no experience at stages like this, any club that has done it has had to do it for the first time. Any Liverpool fans ranting and raving about thrashing them needs to be ignored as rational supporters know its going to be a right scrap.
If we lose it will be very disappointing, no question about it. And it will perhaps rightly raise a few questions over whether a team can come back from losing two finals in a row. It would be a psychological blow IMO but we've show we can bounce back from 1 loss already. Seem to be reliant enough mentally.
As an aside, I've been a Liverpool fan all my life and I'd be sick if we lose the final. But there's two or three Spurs fans I know that are good fellas and if they win it, I'll be pleased for them in a weird way. They're certainly the lesser of all evils when it comes to playing an English team in the final.
If Liverpool win I'll respect the process. This team has been incredibly well constructed after years of shite. This team has the least dislikeable set of characters in years. However, Spurs have spent very little, have a good British core and are the perennial non achievers.
So neutral or non neutral view...go spurs!
The usual being?
Gegenpressen and use of the full backs as ammunition providers. The only problem with this tactic (as Klopp found out against City) is if the midfield can't be clever with ball retention we'll get woefully found out too far forward. Which is where I feel Poch will be looking. Don't think Poch will double bluff everyone and go gung ho in a one legged affair.
