Poor, poor, poor. Don't see it improvingWe had to admit we are a solid team, but not that good right now.

Will improve when Pogba is back. Still not good enough.Poor, poor, poor. Don't see it improving
Yes, the circumstances weren't ideal but so many people seem to think having Rashford, Lukaku and Martial together is somehow the magical solution for everything. When today we saw it's far from it.Or it was because there was no semblance of normal play anymore after Chelsea went up and overran our midfield with or without mkhi?
"What are you on about? Where did I say we are playing badly because of Martial? Of course we were pretty bad before he came in. I just said putting him on instead of Mikhi didn't improve our attack."
No it didn't. Why do you think that is? Maybe then I can see how to argue your observation? What big point are you trying to get across?
Maybe give them three or four matches back to back and not decide over a desperate last few moves from Mourinho over a 30 min spell away from home in a hectic game? Your observation is far too hasty and means nothing without actually having seen them together over a longer period. Give them a chance instead of being hasty to say "AHA, as I thought".Yes, the circumstances weren't ideal but so many people seem to think having Rashford, Lukaku and Martial together is somehow the magical solution for everything. I knew this was going to happenWe should look out for that diagonal cross that Azpi plays to Morata. They have already scored twice like that this season. It's almost identical to the ball Eriksen played to Alli against us.
We are a new side we just dont have our full team. Plus your argument would still be invalid but with a few caveats. City are far superior to the rest of the league and if they were at the same level and only a few points ahead then it wouldnt look so bad also you are not taking injuries into consideration especially Paul Pogbas. You were convinced we were a new side, reinvigorated and all that. I was lambasted for being on the fence and leaning towards flattered to deceive https://www.redcafe.net/threads/post-match-vs-stoke-city.432273/page-6#post-21463358
@Sandikan I just noticed your post about me too without tagging me... what do you think... goals galore soon again?
thats about the same for everyone of our attackers!Let me rephrase in possession and in attack. It had numerous times in attack where he stalled and case in point was right at the end there where he should of just whacked it in the box immediately.

I hear you, but if all that's good about our play is bound up in one player, you're asking for trouble at some point. I know Fellaini has been missed, but even when he was performing well, I'd argue he was able to benefit from our overall play rather than be main instigator of it.Financial outlay? Part of that outlay has been out of the team for over a month, coinciding with our drop in form coincidentally....
We'll see. It's not finished and I don't see things getting prettier in the long run. I desperately hope I'm wrong and you are right because that would mean I have a team to be proud of again. We are a new side we just dont have our full team. And we probably won't see them together for a longer period anyway, which I believe is partly because of tactical reasons. So I don't see what else we're supposed to base our opinions on than these short spells they do get together.Maybe give them three or four matches back to back and not decide over a desperate last few moves from Mourinho over a 30 min spell away from home in a hectic game? We probably won't. That doesn't mean a fair conclusion can be drawn with just one short outing under ridiculous circumstances. So why force one out anyway unless you're desperate to be 'proven right' at all cost no matter the context. And we probably won't see them together for a longer period anyway, which I believe is partly because of tactical reasons. It's our bogey ground. We will win now and again. We have lost to worse Chelsea sides than this one.Just seen that we have only won 3 times at Stamford Bridge in the last 20 meetings. Tough place to play at, never mind with this team. Even Sir Alex’s great teams struggled.
Pipe down LevyGreat game of football throughly enjoyed it.
Yeah exactly, I think there is an over reaction to the result. It is more because we are 8 points adrift of City at the top where the reaction is mainly coming from. It's our bogey ground. We will win now and again. We have lost to worse Chelsea sides than this one.
I can understand people freaking out where City are concerned as they have a style of play, where we to be honest don't. That is the one complaint I would have or not a particularly attractive style if I can work out what it is.Pipe down Levy

Definite bafta nomination to be fair.Morata has been great.
They are trying to replace Costa, so he has to be annoying to be honest. He has a lot of things to his game. That was a nice goal. Unfortunately.Definite bafta nomination to be fair.
You are completely forgetting about our most important player. Take Hazard from Chelsea, KDB from City and Mane from Liverpool and they arent as good. We arent half the side with Pogba missing but that in itself is an issue. We needed another top class attacker last summer. We'll see. It's not finished and I don't see things getting prettier in the long run. I desperately hope I'm wrong and you are right because that would mean I have a team to be proud of again.
It was probably Griezmann but with Athletico and their transfer ban it didn’t happen. You are completely forgetting about our most important player. I wasn't actually being smart, it was my preferred result but wasn't winding it was a really good game.Pipe down Levy

I don't disagree, but coaching and the way players carry out those instructions, plus mentality and sharpness (effort, etc.) make a huge difference in separating the top teams from the rest. We showed a complete lack of sharpness and organization today, no communication, and no mental toughness to take hold of the game when the pressure was intense and impose ourselves on the game. We let them totally control the entire encounter, as we have against most top teams this year.i dont think chelseas team is better then ours just think its better trained and organised.
i honestly worry about players mentality, Mourinho in big encounters seems to set his teams up as the underdogs, i'm not sure that always gives players confidence.I don't disagree, but coaching and the way players carry out those instructions, plus mentality and sharpness (effort, etc.) make a huge difference in separating the top teams from the rest. It's only possible because Chelsea gave up the midfield to shore up the defence hence our pathetic excuse of a midfield can hold onto the possession.
Oh yeah I know, was just having a joke.I wasn't actually being smart, it was my preferred result but wasn't winding it was a really good game.
He was just playing/using us to get a new contract, had no intention of coming otherwise he would've. Looking at his form this season, thank god we didn't get him.It was probably Griezmann but with Athletico and their transfer ban it didn’t happen.
sure thingTo shit in?
