Not if the agreement is forward dated and not formally signed.
I think as a publicly traded company they can't withhold information that should be known to shareholders because its financially advahtageous

Some fans are so invested in this saga, that they'll rationalise any reason to give them hope.
We typically see this in the transfer sagas.
The favourite excuse is, "The deal is done, but we are waiting for the New York Stock Exchange to open".
If it's that sort of comfort we're looking for then we should note it's Eid next week, many in the Gulf would've already started their holidays today and won't be back until early July. The deal's done but we're just waiting for the feasts to be consumed and for them to re-emerge from a weeklong post-meal nap.

You'd really hope at this point one bid would have a higher preference than "slightly more favorable". Come on you indecisive pricks, when will it end?

Doubt it. If it's done, like actually done, they legally have to announce it.
Not really. They can always delay it citing various reasons. But then why would SJR be okay with that since he is just a puppet there.

Probable but not happening though.

Full video here. In brief he says Sheikh Jassim is slightly more favourable but all options still on the table.

“Glazers might invite another round of bidding” :houllier::nervous::houllier:

so from Reuters, it went from "negotiating exclusivity" a week ago to now "slightly more favorable"?

To be honest, he said a lot about nothing here. Other than Sheikh Jassim being more favourable, everything else is still how it has been for months with every option still on the table. Similar to how SJR was more favourable a few weeks ago. It’s a classic Glazer shitshow.

This has hilariously broken the Reuters credibility. Why write an article that purposely insinuates breaking news, discussing exclusivity, and then backtrack more than two weeks later by saying there may be another round of bids.

I'll more or less give up on football if Qatar win this. Could you imagine Madrid getting bought out by a state? no. Some things in life are sacred and not a tool for governments. Social institutions should be left alone. Shame on the PL and UK government for allowing this to happen in the first place. It's disgusting. Please, please please let SJR win this.

Sorry you have literally had many posts mocking you. It’s unfortunate that people conduct themselves in that way. It’s really sad you feel that way and I wish there was an easier answer.

Tbh I didn’t even find the initial article that convincing in terms of genuine progress. The article stating the Sheikh was discussing getting exclusivity is basically the point both parties have been trying to get to for months and still are. Actually obtaining exclusivity itself is a different story but that’s not what they reported.

Basically same scoop as the exclusive from last week. Still comes off as getting briefed by the Glazers and trying to invite more bids.

A poster:
I genuinely feel awful that a load of people with horrendous human rights records and linked with the deaths of hundreds are taking over our football club.

Other posters: bye then.

It’s literally the lack of empathy that is so baffling to me. Can you not understand how hard it is for long time proper fans to say goodbye to the club?

This is my point though. It's a nothing update and they released clickbait headlines in a bid to sound like they get information before anyone.

Said it a few days ago but when we get these periods of silence, it’s never a good thing. The next thing that comes out will always be negative and regarding a delay

Wrong thread. There’s another thread for you to repeatedly moan about people who entertain the idea of SJR purchasing the club.

I would prefer it not to be a state or someone with questionable morals. But you can’t seem to get it into your head that not everyone shares your beliefs and opinions.

Of course it’s the right thread.

This is how the conversation has just gone.

Poster A: I’m really upset about this

Poster B-G: goodbye and good riddance

Me: can we have some compassion for this poster, it’s hard for them.

You: you can’t get it into your head people don’t share your morals.

So what you’re saying is you want some attention/sympathy

You have literally tagged me twice in the last 24 hours in this thread despite me having never read an interesting post from you.

Or let me put it in a format you’d understand

@GlazersOutMUFCFAN2012
Hearing that wumminator has no interest in anything Berbaclass has ever posted and wished he would stop tagging him in unfunny posts.

That was so funny/witty. Quite unlike most of your posts.

After watching the entire interview, one can't help but wonder whether his article last week revealed anything substantially newsworthy at all. There are several times in the interview where he reiterates that nothing has happened in terms of the Glazers making any decision on exclusivity or anything similar, and that both parties are still in it, with Qatar viewed as slightly ahead of Ratcliffe at the moment.

Qatar moving ahead is fairly significant considering it's the first time that has been the case throughout the process.

For the love of fecking Christ will you shut the feck up?

There’s nobody on the entire internet who doesn’t know every detail of your feelings on the subject, if you want to keep banging on about it take it to the other thread will you.

You’re not even wrong about the subject but it’s just so fecking tiresome having to wade through pages and pages of the same repetitive bollocks whilst trying to see if anything is happening.

Even though it never is. But that’s besides the point.

To be fair it just comes off as boring as these things seem to be.
For me, it looks as if Glazers are giving Jim every chance to come back with a higher bid, can’t see why they would go with their second favoured option. At least the exclusivity period is already hashed out on Qatars side to speed that up.
We really need somebody to drop out or this could go on forever

So when all the 6 Glazers has passed away in like 150 years from now, we then have like 15 new little Glazers and Glazerettes that owns the club and has to agree with each other. Joel Jr and Avram Jr are like their dads but 100 times worse. Oh my god we are doomed for real..

Genuine question - did you mean to post that to me or Berbaclass who has five times more posts than me in this thread?

This interview didn't seem suggestive that it was that relevant. He appeared to go out of his way to let people know both sides are still in it, which is different from what many took from his article last week. Maybe he wanted to correct a misperception.
