I wonder what year the page number will be when something actually happens. Currently we’re about to enter the 20th century.

I’ll go for 1939. Start of WWII.
2028 The same year the sale goes through.

3026. We just finished the first appartment complex in the Mariana trench.

1992 the year I had my first cup of breakfast tea

It would not surprise me if all the siblings have given the thumbs up to sell the club, except Avram and Joel who tries to drag out the process to sabotage the sale. Hoping the buyers walk away since they want more money or want to stay no matter what.

Correct, I’d actually go as far in saying both Joel & Avram appear to have a screw loose.

2013, the year we appointed David Moyes

Buying a house takes stupidly long. Buying a club with more complex assets and accounts etc must obviously take longer.

Add in NDAs and legally you cant know anything hence not knowing anything.

When it happens it happens. If someone needs "exclusivity" to big them up beforehand we might of heard that but with a class of shares on the NYSE maybe that cant happen, legally?

When you buy a house there is one solicitor working on it for you and one for the seller. These guys have armies of lawyers, bankers and accountants and started 9-10 months ago. Lots of clubs change hands far quicker than this deal.

The trouble is that the Glazers/Raine Group are likely thinking along these same lines and waiting for Qatar to blink.

Whereas the Qataris have obviously already made their rather public "final offer" and can't be seen to blink.

Probably one of those rare instances where fans can have an influence - however minor - through pressurising the Glazers to speed up the sale. The value of their asset won't increase if next season's atmosphere becomes toxic and the team's performance suffers.

Time is starting to run out for the Glazers as well. At least 4 of them want out ASAP to invest elsewhere (if the rumours are true). Soon they need to stay for a while whether they like it or not. And without any big signings on the transfer market I guess it could be a difficult season which will not return any bigger money for them.

I thought INEOs bid was dead?

Why has the deal with Qataris not been done yet?

Could the Cafs supposed intel be wrong yet again?
