I've got like 20 open tabs on my Google Chrome on the phone, all Redcafe. It had to happen eventually.
They could have made hundreds more millions if they weren't useless when it comes to managing a sport entity that largely makes money on prize and broadcast revenue. In theory the goal was simple, reach the CL QF on a yearly basis. Instead they accepted mediocrity and by extension far less revenue for themselves while allowing a level of spending that borders on stupidity.
And yet they could potentially walk away with a billion bucks each? Must be real dumb.
They could have been walking away with a lot more had they not mismanaged a crown jewel of an asset.
Really? I think you are confusing football performance and financial/commercial performance. The Glazers have increased our topline revenues many times over.
Other than two periods, united has traditionally been a cup team.

Saw this in media a few days ago. compared to other clubs. We have about 180 more staff than the second placed club (think it was Arsenal} and think it was Spurs we have 400 more. Cutting 300 will have us approx Liverpool/City level. Shows the incompetance of how we have been run.
Mismanaged companies are often very bloated at all levels. It's not nice but it is required. It's not a charity.

My two biggest concerns of this article is still nothing about managing the debt (accepted it won't be cleared) and no suggestion there will be a Head of Recruitment and Director of Football appointed.

Especially considering Newcastle's form recently (including today!)
If each job costs £100,000 in salary and benefits etc that is £30,000,000/year.
Looking at all aspects of an organization's operations is typical when new management takes control through a transaction like this

Well, If you think he is helping the local community by firing 300 is helping them. Then of course you think it's a stupid post. It requires critical thinking.
They will probably cut some departments and do them inside Ineos Sports. So basically cut internally and do them externally instead. Since they already got more than one football club and other sports, it make sense.
Someone with more knowledge about City Group can enlighten me, but I think they do it like that and are well under 1000 employees at Man City.
