Fair points. I don't see too much difference in pace of the game between premier league and la liga though. Would he really get ''found out'' in a PL return ?
I'm sure he would get goals but with Ibrahimovic he scored goals but you could see it was at the expense of the team at times, with his lack of pace and movement. Ronaldo would bring goals but the rest of the team would suffer imo.

Ronaldo and Bale for De Gea? Would they even try? (I base this off of absolutely nothing btw)

I think you make numerous very valid points, but we just don't know how Ronaldo would perform in a team that doesn't dominate every game. Real Madrid are just much bigger and better than every team in La Liga other than Atletico and Barca. They have performed so poorly this season to finish third. At Real, he is guaranteed chances because they dominate possession and play in virtually every game. At United, there are numerous games where this wouldn't apply, and to fair they've hardly dominated any matches over the last six months.

And you saw last night what Ronaldo contributes without service; ie. nothing (not that this is unusual; most strikers are like this, particularly as they get older).

Ronaldo is much more likely to move to PSG where the conditions suit him; ie. it will be a massive move, he will be the focal point of the team at the expense of everyone else, PSG batter everyone in France, he is guaranteed to score goals. If he moves to United, there is no particular reason to believe that the team would get better in terms of creating chances and progressive attacking play. He is likely to convert more chances and score more goals than Lukaku, but as he scored 28 goals this season and was arguably United's second best player after de Gea, it's hard to believe that this is what the team really needs.

In terms of contributing outside the box, or playing as a winger, those days are finished for Ronaldo. And he's not a Messi with some fabulous skillset and technical ability; he basically scores close range efforts, scores headers, or does nothing.
Madrid dominate because of ronaldo (at least part of it). Having a ronaldo in your squad changes everything. You can't afford to commit because you know he can hurt you

He had just finished giving an interview. People will analize every move he makes but sometimes it's too much, I have no doubt that there are things bothering him and I agree that he shouldn't have been as direct as he was but all the drama is unnecessary.

I watched the interviews and the media is making a storm in a cup of water. Wether the problems are due to his contract or due to the tax thing it was obvious there were problems since last year and it's in both Perez and Cristiano's interests to reach an agreement so I think it will happen.
I think too, although I wonder what else he will say in some days,if It will be something unexpected

You arent more of a man than someone else because you think its acceptable to use "gay" as an insult
Nice jump, what a load of bollocks assumptions from a guy who tells people to 'grow up' because you don't like the way someone used/sees a word

*homosexual insult

Its not an assumption. You explained yourself

Wait a minute who used it as an insult?
The guy who said the emojis were gay. Thats suggesting something is wrong with being gay. But you know this

Well the guy obviously had no homophopic intentions like he quickly mentioned but you guys were quick to jump on him and label him a homophobe. Anyways this is off topic, my main gripe was because I felt you were all on his ass just because he used the word gay, if you deemed the way he said it as insulting then fair play I guess

Where would he go realistically, assuming he wants to stay in the CL at the top level?

Can't imagine him going to Barcelona for obvious reasons

PSG seems right, but they have FFP clouds over their heads.

Can't see Guardiola wanting him because he doesn't generally go for the big personalities post-Zlatan.

Surely it's just one more new contract push.

New contract doesn't make sense at his age. Maybe he's just had enough of Madrid and wants a new challenge.

Its because of the way it was used, as if it made the emojis bad because they were "gay".

But yeah I'm glad you see now, why that sort of stuff isnt okay. I'm sure a lot of us said stuff that now we're older, we realize isnt what we should be doing. I know I have. And a similar word too.

If there's one reason I should be glad Jose is here it's that at least we won't get sucked into this nonsense once again this summer. They don't like each other right?

If Neymar goes maybe, but with Neymar there this wont be true.

He might not want to lengthen his contract but he certainly wants a pay rise.

Why would he ? His net worth is well over a quarter of a billion at the moment. He makes plenty of money outside of football to need to haggle for a new contract.

Hes a legend at this club, Real Madrid and football in general, if he comes back he will be revered just as much. Problem is I cant see him coming back to Manchester with his lifestyle, so this is likely a push for a significantly bigger contract or a transfer to PSG or some place else.

Its all about the ego, the money is only used a 'measuring tool'. Currently he earns less than others so the ego is hurt, does not matter that he is comfortable for many life times!

I don't think any of that matters any more. He makes plenty of money outside football and has already won everything except the WC.

The only club other than Barca which gives him the best chance of trophies and more importantly Ballon d'ors....he's not going anyway voluntarily....more likely his camp have got wind of the bigger plans at the club and it was a get in there quick and save face comment.

They (Atletico too)always offer the trophy to the Virgin (Almudena in this case),later region of Madrid authorities,to continue in the City council and at the end party at Bernabéu

Totally understand your POV, I simply answered what I thoughy of your questioning, 'Why would he' to the Adisa comment 'He might not want to lengthen his contract but he certainly wants a pay rise.'

So as I said, the money is just a 'measuring tool'

Difficult to see where he'd go. I think PSG and United are the only viable options in Europe, unless he goes back to Sporting already. Otherwise, it's MLS but I think that's still a couple years too early if he even does it at all (I actually think he won't bother with that).

If comes back to United, he will be coddled on and off the field, rightly so. I don't think it's that unrealistic. Woody would love it. I'd love it as a fan as well.

I don't care how but you make it work. He is one of the best in the world..and football history.

He'll be at Madrid next season. Then after that I'd imagine he'll see out his career in L.A to live his celebrity lifestyle.

Yeah I’m not sure Real would be interested in an extension or a pay rise at this stage. They can simply refuse to sell him.

This is probably the time to start calling his bluff.

Yeah... and we really need a team which passes the ball with more pace...actually no club should ever sign players past 30 unless it's Messi. The physical peak of a player probably is from 23 to 28
