We're not in second place. We just don’t look like a 2nd placed side and haven’t for a while now, which is why it’s beem given up. We’re only getting by on our home form.

Hahaha factYep. Then we will beat Liverpool on Saturday and the numpties will start a "Can we go for a league title next season?"
If we continue like this we ain't getting 4th even. Until it's mathematically impossible to drop to 5th place, we need to put in a massive effort in the meantime.A lot of talk that Jose has given up on the league and will focus on the cups, not caring whether he finishes 2nd or 4th.
Now - that is pragmatic and it does make some sense.
But how acceptable is it, in terms of principles, for Manchester United to jack in the league two seasons running months before the final league game?
It isn't me. I have posted the ratings from the Manchester Evening News. What game have you been watching? He lost the ball 19 times in the first half and has been wandering around the pitch like a headless chicken.
He really has some strong followership here. I don't how long it takes for people to realize that they cannot blame the players forever.Never Mourinho’s fault is it.
He’s had the team for how long? And it’s still so disjointed. feck knows what they do on the training ground.
Exactly, he’s the person the long balls are meant to go to, plus he provides aggression in midfield.Under Mourinho, we really really do.
Perhaps, I think he would outmuscle the city midfield too and provide an alternative in attack.I see what you're saying but my word is that how far we've fallen?
Because we couldn't string 3 passes together leave alone press from the off. If our players are not able to carry the ball forward and their players do, then obviously we will be sitting back most of the timeCP started pressing right from the off while we sat back.
Why?
Yep, Martial was in great form on the left. We needed a right mid really badly. Christ sake I would've taken a cheaper risk on Barella for centre midfield all things considered. Mahrez and Barella potentially could've relieved some of our problems but we only seem to add to them. Now we have a 'star' player who loves playing from the left when we already had a younger guy cementing his place there. We really should never have bothered with Alexis all things considered now as there were more urgent needs at the time. We just contributed to making him and his agent richer. Preventing City from getting their target is one thing but having zero clue on how to include him in a functioning and coherent setup is far worse.
Yeh. I just give Pogba a benefit of the doubt, that he saw there were enough players defending to contain their attackers.Agreed, but if Pogba wasn't jogging, he might not even get a shot off?
Agreed. This is starting to get just as frustrating as the LVG and Moyes eras.Once again, if all of the players - and some genuinely world class ones - are playing this badly, how can it not be the manager's fault?
And yes, they're mishitting passes, and yes, they're not doing their individual roles defensively, and yes, they're inexplicably all running into the same 10 yards of space...what's the common denominator?
I'm sure Jose does too. But like in any proffesion. Sometimes you can yell and preach and beg but the people won't listen or buy into your ideas. Seems like the case here.I was just thinking SAF might have a hairdryer handy.
I disagree. What we miss is a fecking clue -- not individual players. It's been this way for months now, although we've been just about good enough to beat teams with worse players relatively consistently.
KWe’re missing a proper coach, Fellaini is the last player we need if we ever want to be a progressive team.
Don't you just love the fickle football fan.Yep. Then we will beat Liverpool on Saturday and the numpties will start a "Can we go for a league title next season?"
I don't mind players losing the ball trying to make things happen. He's got well marked statues to aim at.What game have you been watching? He lost the ball 19 times in the first half and has been wandering around the pitch like a headless chicken.
Even if all those didn't happen and the players cut out the individual mistakes, we still have a fecked up way of playing football in these games. We start lethargically, we get bullied all the time. Why does it keep happening all the time ? Mourinho is a bit responsible I'd say.I don't see how this is to do with Jose.
Is it his fault that Pogba is playing like he's in the park?
Is it his fault that Sanchez is losing the ball at every opportunity?
Is it his fault that Hennessey saved point blank from Sanchez?
Is it his fault Matic can't handle the Crystal Palace midfield?
The way some of you talk you'd think he's actively out on the pitch sabotaging the players. The players, and our so-called "superstars" are letting him down massively. We're becoming fecking Instagram FC.
Surely a lack of team ethic is down to Jose though? We have lost the ball so many times, what is going on? I don't understand why so many players can lose the ball that often! Neville summed it up perfectly, it's just all individuals there's no team ethic there first half. I hope Jose lays in to them, maybe a substitute at half-time...
Yeah that running style is called walking.Apparently he's not lazy, it's just his running style that makes him look lazy
Exactly! I just don't get it. It's like we want to score the perfect goal, and are constantly trying to play eye of a needle passes. Infuriating! We've had the opportunity to play the ball wide multiple times and the pass has been ignored.
