Wages apparently around £85k/w (roughly €100k/w) + bonuses, so far he’s been earning around £30k/w as the base salary.

This is the last salary increase we should be worried about… for a player like him, this is a good deal.Look I don’t mind Dalot, he’s alright. But has he done enough to earn a 5 year extension and a 300% pay rise? I’m not sure.
I guess if he doesn’t mind being a backup, we’ve secured a squad player at full back for the next 5 years. As long as we follow this up by selling Wan Bissaka and bringing in a better right back, I’m fine with it.This is the last salary increase we should be worried about… for a player like him, this is a good deal.
We have other salaries to worry about!
News coming out is the club would consider bids for AWB so looks like that's the case. Makes sense to sell him and bring in Frimpong to compete with Dalot.I guess if he doesn’t mind being a backup, we’ve secured a squad player at full back for the next 5 years. Who knows, he might be a late developer and become what Mourinho saw in him - "the best full-back in Europe in his age group." I'd say he has all the technical and physical tools to do that. It's all about confidence in attack and coaching when it comes to the defensive side of the game.I guess if he doesn’t mind being a backup, we’ve secured a squad player at full back for the next 5 years. “Playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honours that you can have in football.
“We have shared some fantastic moments over the past five years, and I’ve grown so much and my passion for this incredible club has only increased since the day that I joined.
“As a group of players, we all feel like we are at the start of a special journey right now.
“I can assure you that I will dedicate myself relentlessly to helping this group to achieve our aims and make the fans proud of this team.
“That drive continues this week with everyone intensely focused on preparations for the FA Cup final.”
“Diogo is an excellent defender, with a great combination of pace, strength and versatility. He has consistently developed, improving year-on-year since joining the club in 2018.
“Diogo’s work ethic and professionalism is superb; the way in which he prepares himself every day in order to perform at his highest level is exactly what we all want from a Manchester United player.
“Diogo has a strong mentality, high standards and a great personality, and we are delighted that he will remain an important member of the squad for the coming years.”

The reports have consistently been that AWB was available if someone puts in a sufficient bid, so I'd imagine it depends on someone doing that really. Not sure how I feel about this. He was good for a couple of months before the World Cup but his form absolutely tanked afterwards. I’ve also never really thought “wow this guy is great”. Seems with this and AWBs good form that we won’t be looking at a RB this window.
Concerning.

He looked good at the start of the season, but it was the first good spell he’s had since we signed him 5 years ago. Before you talk about memory loss, let’s look at the first 4 mediocre seasons!I'm not sure what people are moaning about. Before the World Cup and his injury he was looking world class and formed a great back 4 with Varane and Licha, if he can hit those heights again he'd be a mainstay at RB, it's like you all got memory loss or something and are only seeing some of his performances in the latter half of the season, of which not a lot of squad members cover themselves in glory
One of them has to go, and AWB will raise the most cash so it makes sense. Dalot’s versatility also doesn’t hurt.News coming out is the club would consider bids for AWB so looks like that's the case. Makes sense to sell him and bring in Frimpong to compete with Dalot.
Same but then everyone seems to speak highly of him as a talent and a professional. I wonder if he’s expected to come good because of how he applies himself in training. Not sure how I feel about this.
