He's our player of the season so far, by far.

Some people have his form from a few years ago jammed in their heads so it takes them a while to realize that he's actually a good player these days and they happen to ignore all the good he does and focus on a mis hit cross or something. Oh well, can't please everyone. Definitely one of our most reliable players though

My main issue with him as a RB is his defence. I still feel there are reoccurring lapses in his defensive ability, that moment against Galatasaray is the stand out this season. I actually quite like him on the ball. His crossing is okay but nothing spectacular but I don’t see him as the type to win 50-50s. He pulls out and isn’t strong enough and I’m just not convinced about his one on one defending.

Only two reasons why he wasn't by far the worst player on the pitch today.
1. He scored a goal
2. Bruno was in the pitch

If I were a Sheffield united fan, I honestly wouldn't want him anywhere near my team.

It was a fitting goal to secure the three points considering the occasion. Right in the top corner like a Sir Bobby thunderbolt.

We're asking him to basically cover the whole flank

These average positions maps are kind of stupid when you consider the formation is totally different depending on who's got the ball. We had the ball most of the match. When we had to defend, Dalot wasn't covering the whole flank.

Aren't most of his crosses mis hit? You very rarely see him put a perfectly weighted cross onto a teammate's head. Shaw has done that more often than Dalot this season and he's been injured for all-but-two games.

Mis hit or over hit. He cannot cross the ball.

I think all this player of the season talk is balls too. He's so fecking average it's not even funny anymore. He should have been sent packing years ago, but what does he get? A bumper new 4+1 deal.

I can't imagine what he must think every time he makes a run past into open space and Rashford or Antony just ignore it.

He needs to have a go at them. They can't keep doing it over and over.

The one in the second half when Rashford just shot it against a player

Thought he's been consistently good this season

Yeah every fan in unison was cursing Rashford for doing his usual "head down blast it into the guy marking him" it's becoming his trademark this season.

He is easily one of the our best players this season. Has a wand of a right foot too.

Played like a scared child against Grealish today. Just sat off and let him do whatever he wanted, doesn't help that his main defensive support was Fernandes who is very erratic as a player.

United have the habit of keeping average players for way longer than they should be staying.

These guys at the helm, why do they keep hopping these mediocre players will come good after years mediocrity, even when it becomes obvious to everyone else that they are no good?

Whoever thought tying this clown down to a new contract was a good idea deserves to be thrown out the door.

A seriously shite player. Weak both physically and mentally.

Maybe I'm seeing something else but I just can't stand him as a player, he's a nothing player and does not specialise in anything.

I would get more joy watching Guillermo Varela play RB for us than him.
Agree. Just average or lower all round. Excels at nothing.

How many teams in the PL would rather have Dalot than their own right back? I reckon there would be less than 8.

Agree, been here several seasons but has no attributes. Just none.

Not quick, not strong, not creative, can't cross, can't pass, can't defend.

Not sure I agree. He defends his back post from crosses pretty well and is decent in the air for a full back. He's also pretty quick.

Ultimately, he's not great. But I don't think he's our biggest problem at the minute, far from our worst performer.

He's symptomatic of the rot at the club.

He was literally double teamed by two players of the quality of Bernardo and Grealish and had zero help all game. He didn't let them do anything. Franklh He had zero hope vs such a tag team.

He made Jack Grealish look like prime Neymar yesterday.

He is painfully average. What does he excel at? What are his best attributes? When you think of Diogo Dalot the footballer for Manchester United what comes to mind? For me; absolutely nothing on all counts. I'd say he would be the most forgettable Manchester United player of all time if he hadn't actually been here for over 5 years at this point.

Don't see it with him. Never have.

Thanks for costing us another game.
Charlatan. Worst united player I've seen in my lifetime.

What a terrible performance. Shouldn't see the starting XI until 2024 at least, he was that terrible.

Very poor game. Defended him plenty of times and especially for Portugal he's shown theres a good player in there. But I'm over our players who have a lack of character and personality and today's performance was exactly that from Dalot. Time to give someone new a chance to compete with AWB

Consistently terrible player who for some reason will get through one game looking decent and this thread will be full of comments on how he’s hitting form. With Awb fit he should never see minutes again. But he’s another I suspect Ten Hag is a big fan of and so he’ll probably still start the majority of the games.
He is one of the few players who has been EVER present in all the horrific thrashings we’ve received.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
He should have been taken off immediately after the first goal. It’s the worst bit of defending I’ve seen in a very long time and completely inexcusable at this level. AWB was really good when he came on so the bench awaits.

His ‘defending’ for the first goal is criminal. How the feck do you not notice Almiron running beside you?!

Another disappointing game... Glad that AWB is back but the hope, that some consistent game time would help to stabilze Dalot is gone. We have to upgrade RB.

Was this Dalot's worst performance for Man Utd? His consistent lack of awareness during the first half was shocking. Had he just paid attention to his surroundings we don't go behind tonight.

Fresh off of a five year deal in the summer too. One he arguably didn't deserve, despite strong performances before Qatar 22. He really can't be our long term right back, can he?

He's less than an average footballer who's also pretty dumb, not a good combination.
