It's ok, I have lots of friends in the US, many who were customers of mine for years when I was selling records online. I'm not one of those who hates the US or all Americans. It's a shame that needs to be clarified though as sadly, you're right many do kind of think everyone from the US is like the MAGA nuts. Ever since South Korean prosecutors cut Park Geun-hye's lawfully single presidential term short even if that meant torpedoing her party's chances of electing a successor in the originally projected 2018 election, I swear to God that more firm believers of the rule of law as a general concept should have seen this as a gold standard in holding leaders accountable. What South Korea did was just FECKING GOOD, while what the United States are doing with Trump is the total opposite (i.e. absolute SHIT).
If applying the full strength of the law means destroying a man's chances in the next election because there is something legitimate to prosecute about right there, then do it and feck optics!

Trial starts April 15th. Trump is required to attend. These are felonies, so he does actually risk jail time. 34 felonies that each carry a 0-4 year sentence if convicted. It's an open and shut case, the only difficulty will be deciding how much prison time he gets, and if he can remain free on bond pending appeal. Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen will both testify: who does Donald Trump have in his corner as his witness to rebut any of this? Answer: no one.
