Another ridiculous catch from Taylor. Outrageous!
It's a shame that he has the odd spell where he's unwatchable.Brilliant from Broad. He has these spells where he's unplayable.
Great performance from England.
There is one such almost guaranteed each series.Brilliant from Broad. He has these spells where he's unplayable.
Great performance from England.
Sorry, I haven't quite got back into England are good again modeTbf it wasn't too bad a guess
England seem to be the only team in the world actively putting test cricket before limited overs cricket, or am I just dreaming that? Lord knows India don't really give a damn. With a proper spinner, England would be a very good team.
Question marks over Hales, but rest of the team has great potential. More importantly, they all are playing in the perfect spot for them.
Cook at #1, Compton #3, Root #4, Taylor #5, Stokes and Bairstow at 6 and 7(which I believe should be in reverse) is perfect for their batting qualities.
Unfortunately rest of the cricket world is shit.
Just seeing highlights of India SA from 2010 or whatever... two very good teams..
SA are bang average now. India and Australia are home ground bullies.
Lowest quality of test cricket in the time I have been watching it.
Im growing to like Moeen. He can hold an end while we attack with 4 pacers. A bit like Giles. With a proper spinner, England would be a very good team.
Couldn't agree more on both points. I'm also a Woakes fan, unfortunately his tally of 7 wickets in 5 previous Tests goes against him in such discussions. However there has been a lot of chopping and changing in the England side over the last couple of years and if he gets a run in the side I think he'll do well.It was @ChrisNelson predictably too short.
I like Woakes a lot, as previous discussion on here shows, but surely if you're ever going to give Footitt a chance its 2-0 up in a dead rubber?
Not convinced Butler's any better with the gloves.Bairstow with his 2nd cock-up of the day, wonder if Jos Butler will get his place back soon
Marginally, if so. All three of them are pretty poor by test standard.Buttler is the better gloveman, but was dropped for his poor run with the bat. Billings is next in line for the gloves I reckon.
If we want to get both in, I'd move Compton to open, Taylor three and Bairstow five.Buttler will come back at some point. My guess would be Bairstow would retain his place in the side as a specialist batsman, probably in place of one of Taylor, Compton or Hales. All 3 are under pressure for differing reasons.
