More like 2-0. Which I attribute to beginner's luck favouring you both!.
Ahem.

https://www.redcafe.net/threads/all-time-british-irish-fantasy-draft-s-f-edgar-vs-skizzo.399434/

Where you managed to brainfart yourself into an early hole.

https://www.redcafe.net/threads/la-...t-mustard-vs-edgar-allan-pillow.415486/page-6

Where I scouted your previous penalty shootout where you went for the almost exact same directions

https://www.redcafe.net/threads/all-time-chain-draft-round-1-eap-vs-skizzo.409190/

Where you made two separate subs and ended up back at your starting formation, and Mexes and Emerson were the highlight

https://www.redcafe.net/threads/eap-vs-pat-skizzo-all-time-3-year-peak-auction-draft.405719/

Possibly your best showing, and a good game all round.

But really, who's keeping track?

I can tell you there is one poster who systematically voted against my team in my last 7 games despite my 5 wins :wenger:
Out of pure interest - is it me? At least it feels like I often vote against your team.

So, it confirms a midfield davids-beckenbauer 66-neeskens would be great
Well, you might make it work after a fashion.

But Beckenbauer wasn't a DM/holder in '66, so you probably won't get away with portraying him as such. Which was anto's point, I think.

You could use him as an extravagant choice for a man marker, I suppose.

A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.

I would have voted for a tactical system like this

Netherlands 2000

Germany 66

-------------------------------TILKOWSKI------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
------HÖTTGES-----SCHULTZ-------WEBER------SCHNELLINGER---
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------BECKENBAUER-----------OVERATH------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----BRULLS/HALLER-----SEELER----HELD--------EMMERICH--------

Netherlands 78 final

Out of pure interest - is it me? At least it feels like I often vote against your team.
No :)

It goes both ways: 1 or 2 always vote for my team.

Not sold on the arrows (details, details) - but yes, why not? I don't think that trio would be dysfunctional as such - they're far too clever and far too positionally sound to make a clusterfeck of it.

However, if we're talking specific incarnations here, I'd insist on having Beckenbauer doing lots of forward runs - contributing plenty offensively. The '66 version did just that - he scored, what, three or four goals in that tournament. So, the crucial part would be to avoid giving the impression that he's some sort of holder - because he simply wasn't that. He'd probably do an immense job as a pure DM if you tasked him with that - but it isn't how he actually played in '66.

Yeah the arrows seems to be excessive. Three box to box roles from that lot in their different ways would be nice.

Lol, @oneniltothearsenal recently made the same claim.... That I always vote against him.

Once a game is done, it's done. Grudges make for bad drafts..... Unless it's against @Skizzo, where it should be encouraged.

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't think it has anything to do with a grudge, I just think we naturally see some tactics very differently with different personal preference which leads to different conclusions frequently :)
