Everything we feared about Jose Mourinho could be coming to fruition.

I don't think it's coming to fruition...it started happening straight away. Some of us hoped (a slight hope) that he would change his approach but that went out the window 4 or 5 weeks into his first season.

He still picks up Trophies though and he still gets results. This will just be the way it is while Jose is in charge. Some can get over that, some won't want to. Neither are wrong imo.

It ain't our duty to accommodate and clear the path for youngsters. Rashford is getting all the time he needs and Martial has had his chances. Shaw's issues are down to him and some bad injury luck. I don't get what LVG has to do with anything, he was a failure. I have resrvations about Mourinho, and if he doesn't deliver a big trophy this season I hope serious questions are asked of him. But this post is a bit OTT.
It is part of my style. I do go OTT but football is an emotional game and Jose Mourinho produces some massive emotions.

A part of me thought this today. Beat Liverpool and the club/players would be bouncing. Instead we didn't give ourself a chance by parking the bus.
But Liverpool were absolutely up for it. Would have been good to go for it and win, but could have easily back fired on us. Think the plan was to sit back and counter but our players just couldn't complete simple passes. Not to mention no one was willing to drive the ball forward. I lost count of the times Young had space in front of him but instead of attacking, he just stood on the spot frozen and then passed the ball backwards.

Even today, it was only during the last 15-20 mins that Valencia made runs forward. It's infuriating!

Shaw has had his career stalled by Mourinho? lol
Yeah, people should start pining the Januzaj fisco on him too, anything goes .

There's also the "doubts raised over Zlatan Ibrahimovic" part, 28 goals in 46 games for a player that came on a free transfer, if that raises doubts I don't know how anyone can be safe

He's on the highest wages in the league and got the same amount of goals as Joshua King in the Prem.

I reckon he spent the summer writing this and has just been waiting for the right time to post it.

Guys I've had a few insults in this thread that I won't respond to (or report yet) but please focus the discussion on football and not attacking posters.
Then try not to over exaggerate issues. It's like you were waiting for a defeat to write this crap.

We could also have been up for it. Heck why would either team not be? Beating your biggest rivals is what it's all about.

Yes, you're right, I just managed to get in the part about Martial being subbed, him flirting with PSG, TFM on loan Mkhi struggling from the start of the season.

Yeah I know. Would love it if we went toe to toe with a direct rival. But, have gotten used to seeing us sit deep, soak the pressure and counter attack. Worked well under Fergie. Since then, it has been a mess.

Need to stop comparing ourselves to City, and instead judge progress against ourselves.
^^This^^
We have all gotten a bit giddy with the early season 4-0's but the reality is, we have a lot of very ordinary players and are miles behind City.
Realistically, we are a long way off of genuine title contenders.

The date was the 20th May 2016, the day before the FA Cup Final. Louis Van Gaal's men were preparing for a massive game at Wembley hoping to win their first major piece of silverware since Alex Ferguson's retirement. "Can Martial be the player to save Louis Van Gaal?" asked The Telegraph. "No-one is talking about the 61 million pound fee any more" reported James Ducker. Fast forward 18 months later and it is obvious that no matter the results that day, LVG was finished at Old Trafford. However, what is more surprising is that the game might also symbolise the peak of Anthony Martial's United career. What once seemed to be a figure destined to shine as bright as any other player, Martial is a peripheral character at Mourinho's United, hauled off at half time after a torrid first half against Huddersfield in a 2-1 loss.

It all seemed to start so brightly for Mourinho. His first season's league form was abhorrent, however two cup wins in his first year seemed to indicate that Mourinho could push on for his famous second season. With a warchest of 160 million to his name Jose promised to push on United into a title challenge that has evaded every United manager since Sir Alex.

However as the season goes on, United fans initial worries about Jose seem to becoming to the forefront once more. His much maligned record with youngsters seems to have continued, with former talented youngsters Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Timothy Fosu-Mensah all having their careers stalled in different ways by the enigmatic Portuguese manager. United fans have thrived off Marcus Rashford's excellent performances, however opportunities for his fellow youngsters seem to have come few and far between.

None of these examples is more pronounced than Alex Tunazbe. The youngster first handed starts by Louis Van Gaal two seasons ago is still struggling to make his mark in front of the Old Trafford faithful. However his place in the squad is limited, seemingly behind Mourinho's forty million pound man Victor Lindelof. The defender has struggled to establish himself in the United defence and he has once again let his teammates down in defeat to Huddersfied. But while every manager is allowed to make mistakes in the transfer markets, doubts have also been raised over other Jose arrivals Mkhitaryian and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. With United's wage bill increasing by 20% since Jose taking over, United's owners the Glazer family will be expecting more return for their outlay.

But all of these issues would be ignored if Jose delivered the trophies so many of his acolytes claim he always delivers. But with an appalling display versus Liverpool followed by a humiliating loss to Huddersfield, questions are arising whether Jose's formidable resume belongs in Old Trafford past, along with any memories of Louis Van Gaal's reign.

This week Mourinho started openly flirting with the PSG job. Many United fans are upset by this, many United fans still excuse this behaviour. But the circus of Jose Mourinho only stays in town as long as his many negative points don't start to outweigh his positive points. United fans will be hoping that moment is a while away yet, because if Jose isn't the man to put Manchester United back on their perch... who is?
Nice timing, directly after the first loss of the season. My gut tells me you had drafted this mindless drivel quite some time ago. Just biding your time, waiting for the most convenient moment to release it.

Tell me, did you smile when the final whistle went?

What I feared about Jose was his shit tactics in the big games. Lost the momentum against Liverpool, should have gone all out to win that game, win it and today doesn't happen.
Agree with this. Players think you can do this against more teams and get away with it.

Get your facts right first mate. There's no Alex Tunazbe in this world. Tuanzebe just made breakthrough to first team last year, he got debut from Mourinho.
Its just first lost this season, you made it look like United got relegated.
I'm not particularly pleased with Mourinho but the results yet to be seen.
No wonder your posts never got seriously taken.

That being said, you are absolutely made for RAWK.

No I went straight to the bottom of the house and picked out a Heineken. Because that result made me need a drink half way through my Stoptober.

This defeat hurts and what truly hurts me is the idea that we've sold our soul as a club to get in a manager most of us previously despised in order to win trophies that I am worried simply are not coming.

This thread is early. Obviously it's early. But that's three frankly horrible performaces with a load of players who don't mean anything to me. I feel to truly get past this we need to look at what makes this club so unique and great, but I fear we're too far gone....

He simply doesn't have the ability to form talent into greatness. SAF had that ability even though it didn't work out with all his proteges either.
He was the first one to give Hélder Postiga a chance mate

I think the moderators should lock this attention-seeking thread. This is not only self-serving, it’s also pathetic that a Man Utd fan can sit down for several hours to write such balderdash.
