this is my initial team, I'll probably swap Jesus out as Pep is too rotation happy, probably change 80% of those players before the season starts though. Lakaku is a must as if he starts of on fire and you don't have him and everyone else does then you're fecked for the season

Don't worry sir, I'm from the internet.
I've been doing this for several years, do I still need to tag in @FC Ronaldo ?

Colin129

Edit: feck 11/12 was my 1st season, didn't realise it was that long.
This prompted me to check my history and I've actually played every season since 07/08 bar one. Only had my best ever point tally last season but glad I'm steadily improving year on year.

Same with us really apart from DDG/Pogba. Probably Lukaku now.
DDG is a goalkeeper preference but I think that you can't go wrong with a defender. Lindelof and Bailly are surely meant to be our main pair and Valencia is nailed on (albeit expensive) so that means a 5.5 to get into the United defense one way or another.

Lukaku is a great pick whilst Pogba and Mkhi could become good options.

I've got Pogba because he'll surely get a decent return for that cost. Also got Lukaku because he can't not be scoring really (touch wood). Wouldn't go near Mhki though. Far from a guaranteed starter and hit and miss when he does

Really bad shout having nearly an entire gk/defence from the same team, surely?

Tommy Smith - Huddersfield defender had 10 assists, 4 goals last season - though a high 5M on him.

My team is

De Gea - Elliot
Baines - Cedric - Luiz - Alderweireld - Daniels
Zaha - Lallana - Loftus - Pogba - Coutinho
Firminho - Lukaku - Gayle
Don't have any Tottenham attackers as they usually start off slow. Liverpool are known to get out of the blocks quick so have three of their players. Any suggestions?

Good defence, those players will get assists a fair bit. Not sure about Sanchez... I'd wait and see how his future with Arsenal develops. Does Gayle always play for Newcastle? Benteke is a gamble that might be worth taking.

Same here, though I think last season was the first time I actually played throughout the season without quitting midway. Having a friendly bet with a few friends is helpful :)

I think regardless of where he is Arsenal/City he will be up there with highest point scorerers again.

Forwards look like the most difficult position to judge this year

I think Gayle should start every game, he was joint 2nd top scorer in Championship last year. Newcastle haven't bought anyone and his back-up is Mitrovic who Benitez/anyone in their right mind doesn't seem to trust.

Benteke is a bit of a punt but there isn't really anyone I trust to score between 7.5 and 9 million

IMO
Kane - is a risk because he usually starts slow. AND there is a big worry among everyone that spurs will struggle at Wembley
Aguero - play time will be restricted again due to his relationship with Pep. Having said that even with minimal playing time last year he scored a shed load of goals again
Lacazette/Morata - unproven in EPL not worth the risk for the high price
Defoe - You can't be sure age hasn't caught up with him a bit. Also adapting to a very different playing style at Bournemouth
Rooney - IMO is totally washed up (great player for us but his body has gone)
Sandro - Don't know enough about him
Vardy/Iheanacho - we're not sure who will start, maybe one, maybe both. Who knows
Liverpoo players - I refuse to have that scum in my team

Chicharito might be worth a go.

Amidst squeaky bums.
Difficult because I want to pick de Gea as I think we'll have one of the best defences in the league once again, but I don't think he'll play all our games. Dave will surely start Champions League matches so you'd have thought Romero will maybe play games against the bottom 6/8 domestically to give him similar game time to last year.

This! I do the same and not having any Liverpool players.

I think there is a risk with a lot of big players as you said.

Lacazette/Morata play in new league and new team.
Lukaku new team as well, but him and Mourinho have worked together before and he does know the league. Also potential jinx risk here ;).
Well with that said I think you should no doubt have him in the team.
Aguero/Jesus you don't know who will play the most. Very expensive in order to get something that is not certain. Still they will get a lot of goals, but prefer to take De Bruyne then.

Kane should be a good beat again in the long run. Wembley could be a problem, but I think he will start scoring goal this season as well.

Not sure about firminho. It was worth having him last season as he was listed at MF but as a striker, you could do better.

Tadic also didn't ever play 90 minutes
