How are people preparing for GW18 ?

If I sub out all my Liverpool players I end up with

Pope
Soyuncu Rico Lundstram
Cantwell KDB Maddison Alli
Greenwood Rashford Vardy

0.6m in the bank. Use a free transfer and take out Mane ?

Pope
Soyuncu Rico Lundstram
Cantwell Mane* KDB Maddison Alli
Rashford Vardy

Probably just gonna bench TAA and sub out Mane for whoever I want. Likely to be Son and I'm likely to keep him until GW24 as discussed on the previous page.

Will leave me playing ...

Pope
Lundstram Willems Kelly
Son Alli Pulisic KDB
Rashford Tammy Vardy

subs: Cantwell Soyunco TAA

Looking at the fixtures though I really fancy Richarlison or Grealish.

I'm keeping Robertson and TAA, and then keep a wide-squad.

My line up will be:
Guaita
Lundstram - Söyuncu - Substitute for Bellerin (5.5)
Mount - Son - KdB - Zaha
Abraham - Rashford - Vardy

I also try to have the key-players in each squad that wont be rested during the christmas festivities

Lundy or Mousset first off the bench?

My team is a bit heavy on subs at the mo while in a transition stage.

Anyone being crazy and bold and going with all our three attackers now? All other big teams play each other a lot while we play against the weaker teams. The problem is that we are often poor against the weaker teams. Although recently we have scored more goals.

I would go with Mousset since Villa have been much better in attack compared to defending. Should be goals in that game.

I think two is stretching it!
Three is barmy.

You should be able to see your cup opponent now, assuming you've qualified.

I'm up against a dead team ranked £5m with Kane captain, Salah & double Liverpool & United defence. Scored 73 points last week. Hoping that the armband on Vardy and a big score from Chelsea is enough to see him off.

Not really, forwards are outscoring midfielders this year.

Look at the players over 100 points so far, says it all. I've had Vardy & Ings & Rashford/Abraham the last month or so and I've flown up the rankings.

I think he specifically means "our 3" as in Rashford, Martial and James. Personally I do think it's a bit much. Been burnt twice by Martial for starters so won't be going back there. Just Rashford for me.

Where? Can't see it. Qualification is based on last GWs points right?

Did you read the post I'd responded to?!

I wasn't saying having 2 strikers is stretching it!! That'd be insane to say!

Someone said about having 3 United forwards - which I think is bonkers.

On the right hand side of the my team screen. Scroll down until you get to cup on the right hand side. Think you needed around 54 points to qualify last week.
Got it, cheers. Kane(c), Vardy, pool double Def, Dilva , son Alli etc. Good team :nervous:

TripleCaptain Vardy anyone?

Norwich at home, and a player in topform - is there any juicier fixtures?

(I always get let down with TC in double gws anyways)

Edit: Any news/ideas on when Liverpools postponed fixture vs West Ham will be thrown in? That could be a big dgw for Mane/Salah I guess

Yeah. James hasn't scored for a long time, but is bloody cheap. Martial not expensive as well for a midfielder playing up front. The problem is that we struggle against the weaker sides and we only play them for the next few weeks. Teams like Burnley and Newcastle might give us problems with a low block. The lack of good cheap options in midfield make you want to go for them though. Maddison might be good when fixtures are great, but having Vardy should be enough given the fixtures they have. City and Liverpool will not be easy for them. Same with going for Mount or Pulisic when you have Abraham given that Chelsea got some tricky games soon too. Lucas and David Silva might not start enough for me to want them. Richarlison got hard games, but he will probably score against us anyway. If Martial can find some form he is probably the best midfielder under 9 million in the game right now.

So my team is currently

Patricio

TAA Chilwell Lundstram

McGinn son KDB Mane

Abraham Vardy Ings

Subs. Button Douglas Williams Tomori

My cup opponents differentials from his last team were. Zaha, Alli, Soyuncu, Rashford and a few shit ones. Where should I try and win this round?

I think your weak spots are Patricio and McGinn. Can you manage to bring in Martial for McGinn somehow or maybe go for James?

Bring in Henderson then ;). At least if he sucks it will not cost us any points ;). The only one you should fear is Rashford I think. Although you can at least be happy if he scores since we should win then.

Opinions on swapping out KdB for Son/Alli at the moment?

Have 2FT built up, squad as below

Ryan/Pope
TAA/Pieters/Lundstram/Kelly/Soyuncu
McGinn/Martial/Mane/KdB/Maddison
Vardy/Mousset/Abraham

Was thinking Pieters/KdB out and Son/Alli and some other defender in

Thoughts?

Switched Adama Traore for Grealish as Villa seem to have better fixture list ahead.

Torn between starting Ings at home to West Ham or Zaha home to Brighton.

On form Ings should be the easy option right?

Just confusing cause its fecking Danny Ings after all.

I'm struggling with keeping Ings - superb form, 5 in 5, home to West Ham, against bringing Rashford in this week.

Rashy is more explosive I suppose, whereas Ings has a glass ceiling of about 8/9 points.

Triple captain is always a punt, but Vardy in the form he's in playing at home against one of the weakest defences in the league is a good punt.

It hurt but I upgrade Ings to Rashford last week. If Ings stays at 6.3 I might go back to him as at 6.3 he will still outscore similarly priced midfielders.

Anyone capping anyone other than Vardy?

Teams are so similar now I'm thinking of sticking it on Mane or Son in the hope Vardy blanks or gets just a goal.

Does anyone still have Auba?

Am I mad to hold him against City and save the FT or should I just ship him out and get our boy Rashford?
