FAO Tottenham Hotspur | Fighting Cock Goes Into Meltdown | Glast...gone

Their performance tonight was what I was expecting us to play like against Dortmund. But then again..."It's the history of the Tottenham. They always miss something to arrive at the end".

I feel very lucky to support a club where the owners would absolutely not put up with this style of play. I don't care if it's Conte, it's awful.

2 very tame shots on target in a 2nd leg at home in the UCL when you only need 1 goal to bring parity. Horrendous performance.

@balaks - You still enjoying this Conte football?

Creates nothing, are dreadful to watch and has probably the most stupid CB in the history of football…
Can’t see how they can live with this borefest one more season now.

Romero was begging to be sent off it seemed tonight. Brainless

Bringing on a centre back for an attacker in the 83rd minute was tactically genius

Less than 1 xG total across both legs. The Sanchez for Kulusevski sub was the cherry on top.
Normally if a centre back gets red carded, you’d understand if a forward needed to be sacrificed. But they started with a back 3 and had only 7 minutes left to get a goal. It made zero sense taking off a forward and bringing on a CB. Baffling.

he was just keeping it tight for the third leg, you bunch of brainless morons.

It is perhaps the most pragmatic thing any manager has ever done ever to the detriment of their own team?

What? I didn't watch it, but I have never bought into the Conte hype. Surely he's actively trying to get sacked now.

Spurs must be very worried by the lack of goals lately.

Hope they pick up in the league and secure 4th, with United 3rd or higher

This season has been a real struggle I gotta say. We just look totally out of ideas and all our good attacking play has evaporated.

Like I said from the start, your problem is and always was Conte.

There’s no way they are getting top 4 ahead of Liverpool now. We’ve all enjoyed the laughing at Liverpool but they are on the up and spurs are heading in the complete opposite direction. There’s nothing between them in the league points wise.

What happened to Son? He looks terrible, can't do anything right.

Conte happened to Son.

Physically drained him? The guy looks knackered and can’t seem to control the ball. Surprised he’s still starting with Richarlison on the bench

Conte should be ashamed of his European record. Kane once again not doing it when it matters.

It’s criminal spending £60m on Richarlison and not playing him. I’ve always thought he was a good player and he showed at the World Cup what he’s capable of.

He’s definitely not the sort of player who enjoys sitting on the bench either and needs to be made to feel important.

Such a strange signing and waste of their limited funds.

What's the reason Son just stopped being great? I mean, he was firing on all fronts and then Conte came in. Such a talented player really. Is he not used correct by Conte, is it his confidence or what is it?

Doesn't get mentioned enough. Or rather, whenever it is mentioned the finger gets pointed at everyone else

Kane not showing up is easy scapegoatism imo, when it's probably the team that's at fault.

Kane's overall been great against big teams this season. You can't win'em'all. And he even plays with a boring team.

But in Europe there's not much going on for him. It's a bit hard to judge whether that's because it's Europe or because the sample-size is just not that big.

This season in premier league:
Scored against: Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, .
Assisted against City.

Only two big matches has he not scored in: Arsenal (home) and Man Utd (away)

That's 7 teams he has showed up for and only 2 he hasn't.

No one has doubted Kane's ability to score goals, in the league, he scores loads of goals, same with England in qualifiers.

With league games, its not the same pressure compared to when it comes to knock out football. Over his career he has not shown the ability to provide big important moments.

A game like yesterday is when you need your talisman to turn up...

I thought Kane was the best of a bad bunch.

... And 2 assists. That should also be considered. 1 in 8 is crap, but affecting 3 out of 8 games is not crap (when playing with a crap team). Just average of a striker his calibre.

2 in 6 in CL knockout games. These are the moments you want your biggest and best players to turn up. He hasn't.

People expecting him to basically play midfield, score goals and make assists. He can't do it all. That team is dogshit lead by a dogshit manager.

He has scored important goals for England. He could really do with some help.
