Almost typical Fred goal as it wasn't even that good of a shot and the keeper dived away from the ball (he was unsighted but still)

Fred just Fredding.

Keep him away from your own box and Fred is actually great

Typically his haters boys are sitting at home and ignoring this thread. Always happy for Fred to score, he works so hard for others to shine, so he deserves some recognition. Currently our most important player after Casemiro. Great celebration for the goal as well :keano:

He’s not the most important player after Casemiro

He’s playing well though which is great to see.

EtH is a bloody genius for using him as a late game attacking sub. Feels like whenever he's subbed on, he created tons of chances through turnover or scored himself.

Just need to make sure Fredinho turns up at Anfield, not Fred the Red.

Imagine you are knackered and with 10 minutes left this megabomb of energy comes on. Must be a nightmare for opposition players.
Fred with Casemiro is very good.

Him and Casemiro combined have 9 goals and 8 assists between them since the World Cup break ended

Yeah, late sub to disrupt possession and win the ball high up is his perfect role.

As we know, he is a bit limited overall but his skillset is useful when he is fresh and everyone else is knackered.

It’s his birthday on Sunday and it’s a big one, he’s turning 30. What a day it would be to get a win at Amfield and crush the scousers’ top 4 hopes.

Is he the only player that comes out... Ok? Feel like he was let down by other players. Basically every other player

Not at fault for the collapse but it's very difficult to win the midfield battle at Anfield without composure on the ball

Shocking defending for the first goal as well

At fault with Varane for the first Gakpo goal. Dalot is pinning the attacker 1 vs 1, Fred (or Antony tracking right back) then need to cover the underlapped players. Fred gives Gakpo far too much room and doesnt cover the position, Varane allows him to come inside on his best foot and have a shot to the far corner. 72% pass accuracy today, 8th highest in the team... Although Casemiro's was even lower

He didn’t play well but I didn’t understand logic in taking him off to bring on Mctominay which just made it even worse.

His mistake started this whole nightmare.
Yep. If only he'd covered the space and not moved those yards towards Robertson.

Although Varane could have shown matey inside.

And Dalot, I don't even know where he was in the scenario.
