Whatever happens we need to start the exit door revolving rapidly in next few weeks!
In the next 2 weeks. "I'm a united player get me outta here" will premier.....I see this is going as well as usual.
Absolutely nobody looks even remotely close to leaving permanently. Lingard looks like staying, Pogba looks like staying, even Dalot looks like he's staying.
May heat up a bit after the final pre-season match, but definitely feels like nothing much is going to happen now until the last week or 2.
a series of events where players sit on a bench or in a physio room, have money forced into their wallets and nobody can vote them out?In the next 2 weeks. "I'm a united player get me outta here" will premier.....
We have been selling below player market value for years. Club has had enough and I cant blame them. We need to start selling players for a good fee at some point. The issue goes even deeper because we keep giving out insane wages for players not good enough. Lingard should never be on 100k per week to begin with.just seems like we are overpricing players and wanting max value....just a very silly selling strategy
we NEED to move the likes of Dalot, Andreas to bring in some funds in order to solidify the squad with players who will actually fukng play and contribute
Rather they will be begging their agents go get then to leave when they realise they might not make the EPL squad before Jones....a series of events where players sit on a bench or in a physio room, have money forced into their wallets and nobody can vote them out?
We've been horrible in that regard for years.hard to sell a player for a decent fee when his salary is way out of line with other clubs that would want to purchase the player.....we pay top salaries for even the second tier players which is why we can't sell them

You’ll be glad to know he’s only in £3.9 million per year then, stop reading the sun for wages information about United players…We have been selling below player market value for years. 25 million! There’s only a handful of clubs who have that to spend, and they’d be looking at better players than him for that. Surely his value is around 7/8m + add ons + sell on.this would be a great starting point with shipping out Pereira.....but United want 25m for him and once again it seems like another club just wanting a loan deal

I can’t think of many players sold at below value. Some were sold at losses but that was because they’d not worked out as buys. Wouldn’t it be better to start moving players out for lower fees but with add ons? Lingard for 30 million is nonsense and limits his market to England. His value is just nowhere near that, even if he had 2/3 years on his contract. We have been selling below player market value for years. Club has had enough and I cant blame them. 25m for him is asinine...just ffs sell him for half that amount. Get the money and get his wages off the board. You sell him for 13-14m and it would cost just another 3-4m to get a quality player like Sabitzer.25 million! There’s only a handful of clubs who have that to spend, and they’d be looking at better players than him for that. Surely his value is around 7/8m + add ons + sell on.
Personly think we should be charging a pretty dime for Dalot. I don’t get why people are so desperate for us to sell an obviously really talented player not reached his prime yet and replace him with trippier a player past his prime. Especially considering both should be playing back up for AWBwe NEED to move the likes of Dalot, Andreas to bring in some funds in order to solidify the squad with players who will actually fukng play and contribute
Because Dalot is not good enough, isn't ambitious enough, and is supposedly ignorant in the dressing room. Just look at his cameo against Brentford.Personly think we should be charging a pretty dime for Dalot. Wages too big.Because Dalot is not good enough, isn't ambitious enough, and is supposedly ignorant in the dressing room. Just look at his cameo against Brentford.
United could sell 5, 6 players without problems for the squad. However, no one wants to pay the salary for Pereira, Jones etc. We should shell: Dalot, Pereira, Jones, James and Lingard.
Yeah - perpetual problem at United. That extension to Phil Jones's contract (to ensure we could preserve his value and sell him for a decent fee!) is looking like the masterstroke we all knew it to be at the time.Wages too big.
Ye, and will most likely go on a FREE now, if anyone prepared to pay his wages.Yeah - perpetual problem at United. That extension to Phil Jones's contract (to ensure we could preserve his value and sell him for a decent fee!) is looking like the masterstroke we all knew it to be at the time.
This is something so many of our fans don't grasp and fall for it every single summer. 20m for this player 30m for that etc.Our deadwood will be hard to sell with wages they are getting here.
We had to pay half of Sanchez wages to get rid of him. This is something so many of our fans don't grasp and fall for it every single summer. 20m for this player 30m for that etc.
We pay our players far too much money that we get stuck with them. There's not a club in world football who'd pay Martial 250k a week but us for example so he's going nowhere. Who would give Mata 160k a week at his age to be a bit part player? Only us.
We'll get the 5 mil for the sell on fee up front but the remainder of what is owed for Lukaku will be paid in the pre-agreed installments (unless Inter want to pay a lump sum to get rid of the debt) so it probably doesn't alter our transfer funds all that much.looks like we could end up with a huge influx of cash if this sale were to take place

We are asking for 20-25m for Pereira. I can see why we aren’t moving anyone out.So freakin' slow moving any player out, loan or transfer.
Lingard, Peirot, Pogba, Jones, Dalot, Martial, Lindelof and Matic should all be sold to make way for fresh blood and to get the dead wood out and off the wages bill. Matic is well past his best, Lingard will never get any better, Dalot, Lindelof and Peiot are now surplus to requirements, and the less said about Jones, Martial and Pogba the better. In the next 2 weeks. "I'm a united player get me outta here" will premier.....
I have no idea what he like in the dressing room, but Dalot was great for Milan last season. As back up right back for me he is definitely good enough. Judging him by a preseason-friendly cameo is nonsense.Because Dalot is not good enough, isn't ambitious enough, and is supposedly ignorant in the dressing room. Just look at his cameo against Brentford.

If he was good enough as a back up RB we wouldn't need to be using FOSU MENSAH and Brandon Williams as back up RBs to AWBI have no idea what he like in the dressing room, but Dalot was great for Milan last season. Everyone keeps shouting we need to sell players, but you can only sell players if people want to buy them and right now football across Europe is broke. The premier league is broke (including ourselves) for that matter it just has a better credit line to rack up debt with.
Right now it seems likely the only money we are going to pull in is through loans as that's all the clubs who want these players can afford right now.
I do agree completely that the wages we pay are too high. When offering a contract we need to consider that if things don't work out are we going to have significant difficulties moving his player on as they would need to take a big pay cut. It is something we have messed up time and time again, from the big contracts like Sanchez, De Gea, and Rooney to contracts of players like Anderson, Rojo, Romero, Jones.
Realistically though there is nothing we can do about the bad contracts on the books, we just need to avoid adding to them. Personally, I think bringing in Tripper for anything more than a nominal fee and a 2-year contract would be doing just that. Fullbacks with the amount of ground they have to cover in the premier league very rarely age well.
