Bit of a tricky one but there wasa bit in the second half where we played some lovely passing football then someone put a peach of the cross from the right onto an unmarked Ashley Young's head about 6 yards out.

He completely fecked up the header though. Managed to more or less stop it dead somehow. It was a great chance but never got replayed. Maybe we scored right after? Would like to see it again anyway.

He was flagged offside though, so it didn't matter.

Could we please have the gif of Valencia making the covering run when Aguero was through on goal.. That was marvellous defending from him, Aguero tried to outmuscle him but he just kept bouncing off the Beast!

around 77th minute, we clear the ball and Chelsea player probably Fabregas waits for it to come down and it's smalling who reads it better getting in front of him like he wasn't there and controlling the ball with ease near the middle circle..

lol, this gif makes it looks like Mata wins the ball, cuts back and then gives it to Clichy, who then loses it to Mata, who owns clichy, then gives it back to another clichy.. etc
 Fantastic

Can someone gif Blind taking the ball away from Mccarthy at around 42:00? It looked ridiculously cool from Blind.

That shot from Herrera that knocked the guard right of his chair just now (somewhere between 13.00 and 15.00 vs Palace) please.

Any chance to put the boot into Evans, right?

If you really want to blame someone for failing to track back, have a look at who was competing in the air with the player who eventually took the shot at goal...
Looked like Jones and Smalling challenging for the ball. They are both a bit slow after the header is lost.

Hardly, Ive never had a problem with Evans and never actually commented on him before. Buts is an observation, when a striker moves across like that, hes passed across to the person whos meant to be in the position. Evans from the get go was wrong throughout it.
Smalling would have been going across Evans to follow the guy. Evans goes towards him initially, knows its over his head, sees him, half heartedly follows him then just stops. Its the same thing Valencia has done a few times as well. Theres no way its Smallings fault. Its Evans (and possibly a Herrera mistake for being wrong footed but not his fault).

That's not how I ever saw football being played. If a centre-half is marking someone when a high ball comes into the box then that players remains his responsibility until the ball is cleared.

The positioning of both of them is terrible, though. Far too close to each other. A recurring theme this season. Nobody talking and organising the back four.

Pretty much everyone's reaction was slow there, and Herrera would have probably intercepted it if he didn't slip, but I have no idea why Blind wasn't there instead of Herrera in the first place, he had no defensive awereness there at all, he is defensive midfielder in the team.

Edit: Watching it again, it might be harsh to blame him but someone like Carrick would probably close down that situation.
