Hes been dropped already for the foreseeable future with some harsh comments from the manager. We don't need to speculate what his situation is at this stage.
But he hasn't been dropped, so your speculation isn't correct.

Got to laugh really. He's been there for 5 minutes and he's already mocked a teammate, got into abit of a heated debate with the more experienced players within the squad , dropped for their upcoming fixture and now the management have officially released a statement declaring him unpickable for the foreseeable future.
Amazing.

Makes you wonder what our changing room is really like if this is a player that isn’t even a first team starter. It’s embaressing.

Isn’t being picked for the foreseeable future… that’s dropped no?
He's been selected in the squad, so he's not dropped from the squad as was reported. Whatever the 'alleged' issue was that he would be dropped from the squad until it's resolved, must have been resolved.

There are plenty of things to give out about in our squad and at the club, but going at a young lad who laughed when he megged someone when that’s exactly what happens on training pitches in every country and at every level on earth is fecking stupid.

Some absolute softcock has thrown his toys out of the pram because he’s been mildly embarrassed and Sevilla have spinelessly thrown the new lad under the bus rather than upset the established lad.

Bring him home and never do business with that shower of whinging, cynical, anti-football dirt bags ever again.

"The club announced that he would not be considered for selection for their game against Osasuna or for the foreseeable future "

^ That is dropped. Not speculation.

I'm pretty amazed at how many people have decided that he a) won't ever be good enough for us b) has such a flawed mentality that he doesn't have a hope left, and subsequently buy fully into this Sevilla narrative that he somehow is a wrong'un. That despite him clearly working harder than any other player in our team when selected, playing in positions that aren't most suited to his skills, having been on our books for a while completely mismanaged under Erik.

Now, I'll agree that the aspect to his game that needs curbing is his petulance and risky tackling, but we also see that petulance in some of our senior players who have spent their careers that way. With Hannibal he can of course be guided along.

The most bizarre take is from people who conclude that he's nowhere near good enough, just some run-around workhorse with no skills. Those people surely do not watch academy football. He has been one of the most promising players to come through our ranks in absolute ages. There's a reason many top clubs wanted him when he was at Monaco, where he actually played as a deeper midfielder. He's got a good passing range, excellent ball control, great movement and an incredible engine.

Given that the transfer window is still open, can he not be recalled and the loan terminated? Is there no flexibility with the system, so as to address a player's benefit and well-being?

Never been a fan of his. He can be a very brainless player with how much of a hothead he is so I won’t be surprised if it’s true and his behaviour got under the skin of Sevilla players.

In his defence he might have done something that he would’ve done here and had no problems with but part of moving to a new country and team is adapting yourself to surroundings. But then again wasn’t it him who had the bust up with Fred in training last year?

 It’s like I always said but no one wanted to accept. He’s making it nowhere near the highest level of the game. He is the same petulant child that was publicly criticised by our u21s manager and told to shape up. He didn’t take the message and hasn’t changed one bit.
Laughing at one of our players just because you want to be right. Well done

Sooner INEOS get a true grip of this club the better. The lack of seriousness among anyone in the club is so fecking frustrating.

Right, which is great. They've resolved the issue. My original point still stands though - it came directly from the club. No one was speculating around that. He walked in and made a terrible impression to the extent they had to publicly address it.

I was genuinely asking if that was why.
I doubt anyone here knows the actual truth of what happened, but the scenario you suggest seems to be the favourite, and if that is what happened then Hannibal will have hopefully learned a lesson

Yet he’s in the squad! So it’s certainly no longer true.

Are you arguing for the sake of arguing? There is a statement from his club that said he was dropped for the foreseeable until the matter is resolved. It being resolved now doesn't mean he wasn't causing a problem, or that he wasn't isolated for whatever brief period there was.

Do you even know the point I was making?

Managers quotes are perfectly fine. People on here are so protective of our players. He needs to learn the game at his current level
It’s annoying too because Sevilla always have bang average footballers yet somehow seem to control possession against us.

I don’t know how they beat United looking at the team sheet each time but they somehow get it done.

All these tells me is that Sevilla are a shambles of a club and we shouldn't have let him go there. No matter what he did, it was an internal matter and should have been handled internally.

Ravel Morrison Mk II, ain't he?

I'll take the heat for this one. I am not sure if this is a dubious source for you so I will share where I read that - this is in relation to what I read about the training ground fight with Telles (who himself has a Sevilla connection, interestingly enough):

Chris Wheeler is listed as tier 3 on the reddevils sub so I'm guessing dubious reliability?

I honestly don't know much about him so you can also speculate as I'm sure many others can chime in about how credible he is.

I’d nutmeg Telles myself

As poorly they are doing, it is not surprising how insecure they will get. If anything, having a little laughter may help the morale within the squad.

Your point is no longer relevant, so do you still have one? Seems you're taking his alleged behaviour personally

There is clearly something not right about the lad. I've rarely seen a player so provocative on the pitch, who seems to irritate others so much. That close to always being carded.

I like aggression in a footballer but he has to sort it out, get some control.

The only ones coming across really fecking badly and unprofessionally here is Sevilla to be honest. I mean, they're 17th and strong relegation candidates, so the glove obviously fits. But still..

Really? His timing is definitely off and he picks up cards far too easily, but I'm not seeing a player goading opposition or looking for trouble. Definitely not seeing anything to suggest there's something not right with him.

I can only imagine it must be the hair.

I can only imagine it must be the hair.

Seem him have his hair pulled on the pitch more than once, maybe you're onto something there
Imagine being such a bitch you have a pull another blokes hair whilst playing a sport against him, footballers are another breed.

In most walks of life, if you laugh at a workplace colleague for making a mistake in front of everyone then you'll be on the shitlist, especially if yo do it in the first week or two of starting there
Watch our training vids, they do it all the time. Someone gets megged or makes a mistake and they all have a laugh about it. Not a big deal but he should have read to room in a new setting

Maguire's case in Greece, Hannibal at Sevilla, Rashford's feckup in Belfast, Greenwood's case, Sancho's case, Lingard and Pogba's unprofessionalism....next manager should be a psychologist or at least a baby sitter.

Everyone and their mom knew that he will be back in the summer as Sevilla won't take up the buy option. But that he won't get any minutes there either is very depressing. I guess he'll go in the 5 a pop fire sale in the summer along with our other loanees.

My point was that he was dropped from the squad by the club and made a terrible first impression, however temporary it was. Fortunately for him he was reintroduced swiftly enough to the matchday squad (albeit not considered for participation in the match itself).
That was always relevant.

I was surprised at how the club can quickly drop a loanee though. Maybe they had to go back on their words due to contractual obligation to keep him involved in some capacity - who knows.
