I always want Manchester United to lose unless it can make Ole stay.

I have to admit, it’s grim, and a loss definitely would suck, but also you have to remember, we are in this grim situation because of the manager.. not that I want us to lose to Spurs.Lose to Spurs tomorrow and (pending other results) we could be:
1. Stuck in 11th (ON PAGE 2!!)
2. 11 pts off top spot (in October!)
3. 6 pts off 4th spot
4. Nearer to the relegation spots than the top spot
5. Fighting Arsenal in 11th/12th on GD (yes, fecking Arsenal!!)
6. Due to face Atalanta, Man City, Watford, Villarreal, Chelsea and Arsenal going into December.
Can somebody explain to me why they would deliberately want to put their club in that position just to see the manager fired?
Nah, not really. A heavy defeat tomorrow would be the end of Ole.Losing by five clear goals at home to our biggest rival in the worst manner possible hasn't changed anything, so even the suggestion that Ole will get the sack if we lose today is unrealistic. The club hierarchy has shown that they're a bunch of utterly incompetent so and so by bottling it this week. We all may as well want us to win emphatically.
Basic common sense provided you hold the belief that the overall trend of results and performances are not going to improve under Ole, and that there's no way for him to turn it around long term. Can somebody explain to me why they would deliberately want to put their club in that position just to see the manager fired?
Same. Keeping him on much much bigger lost for the club.I can't understand any proper United fan coming close to wanting us to lose.
It's really not a difficult concept to understand. If you take Chelsea as an example and you go back in time to Lampard's final game. If he wins he stays for the season, if he loses he gets sacked and they bring in Tuchel. As a Chelsea fan which do you want? Why would any supporter want their team to loose, its totally obtuse to me, why do you even follow your club?
So you think staying with an even shitter coach for a couple more games or the entire season, risking falling further from top 4 and the CL early is worth it. Fair enough.Tried that with van Gaal and Mourinho. Yeah they both won a trophy or two but didn't last long after that.
Given the higher manager turnover we're seeing post-SAF, it means you must spend a good portion of games every year or every other year wanting United to lose.So you think staying with an even shitter coach for a couple more games or the entire season, risking falling further from top 4 and the CL early is worth it. I would suspect you've gotten disagreement, if not abuse, also from a good few people who know quite a lot about football. If we win, the board will think we're on the right track. I'm surprised at how many who doesn't see how dangerous it is if we win. I've said for over two years that Ole is a poor coach and has gotten abuse from people who don't know football. If we lose this, a new manager (maybe Conte) can come in and we can save this season. With that said, I will cheer if United scores, and I will probably sit on my couch screaming when Maguire falls over, but my rational side knows that we must lose this game for us as a club to move forward.
That is exactly what is reported in the media though. Ole has been given three games max. There is a very high chance Ole will be gone if we lose to Spurs (by a couple goals margin)Seriously doubt that The Glazers have give him one full week of training and the result against Spurs to hang onto his job. The whole, wanting us to lose to change the manager narrative is utterly bonkers to me.
Personally, would prefer us to win AND change the manager.
Anyone who thought Ole is good enough after watching us for two years doesn't know football. It's that easy, sorry to say. We have and had so many basic faults in our football regarding pressing, buildup, patterns of play, and so on. But everyone just kept screaming about better players, which don't save him, which some of us knew all along. if we take Potter for example. It's possible he won't be a world-class manager who can manage top teams, but the fundamentals are there. He develops players, he develops his football, he has a clear style. But with ole, I'm just shocked because he is such a poor coach. Now when Steve Bruce is gone he is arguably the worst football coach in the league. I do recognize that he does other stuff quite well, such as building a good group of players and so on but simply as a coach he and his stab is the worst we've had during my lifetime and after three years in the job, and spending £200m on four new defenders, he still can't set up a defense.I would suspect you've gotten disagreement, if not abuse, also from a good few people who know quite a lot about football.
Ive never once wanted United to lose.Given the higher manager turnover we're seeing post-SAF, it means you must spend a good portion of games every year or every other year wanting United to lose.
That seems extremely strange and makes supporting a team some kind of endurance challenge.
