I read he wanted money to push the team on. But De Laurentiis is a stubborn guy. But if you have a coach like Spalletti you do what you have to to keep him around. Brilliant manager him and Gasperini definitely break the stereotypes that all Italain coaches get labbled with being ultra defensive “Catenaccio“ tactical style.
