How can we say any western leaders are enlightened and modern when they conduct business with the animals at Saudi? Enough is enough. BOYCOTT SAUDI!

Still pretty dumb from them to kill him in their fecking embassy. Zero plausible deniability. On the other hand, that could have been done with practically no consequences anywhere else in the city. Not that there will be any significant consequence for them now, not even a slap on the wrist.
Seems like there will be some consequences with Branson possibly pulling out of a $1bn deal and everyone deserting this conference (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-45838471)

I am sure 80% of Americans think Osama was Afghan too.
The whole Muslim world is suffering because of Saudi. They are the ones responsible for most of this crap and all other countries keep getting the blame. They have the unfortunate grip on holy lands and have money and so U.S will turn a blind eye.

The Saudis should get help from Moscow to smooth this over. They were just gay sightseers etc.

Lindsey Graham saying MBS can't become king of Saudi anymore. This should be interesting.
Like all supposed Republican dissidents I suspect Graham will back down soon and demonstrate himself to have no backbone.

Hope I’m around when the Saudis run out of their huge sums of money.

What’s their answer to the question about releasing CCTV footage of yer man inside the consulate?

Diabolical stuff. His Apple Watch was apparently paired to his iphone outside, which recorded everything.

Yeah, why would the watch be recording anyway?
I suppose there's a chance he'd leave it recording just in case.

That's how the Turks are framing it, although I'm guessing they are doing it because they don't want to admit they have listening devices all over the consulate.

There’s literally not a single story on the Fox News homepage about this event.
The Fox News demographic probably think of SA as the magical land from Aladdin. No need to crush their reality when the US has so much business to do with them.

Their viewers are in an alternate reality. Can't forget the woman on CNN who actually believed NK no longer had nuclear weapons.

Under a tree.
I am out of the loop on details. Will wait for the not too distant future movie to find out what happened, starring Nicolas Cage, directed by Paul Greengrass

What’s the likelihood of the Saudis and the Turks coming to an “arrangement” whereby the Saudis end up saying it was carried out by a group of rogue operators or tourists and they’ve now been caught and imprisoned etc or the Turks say it’s just been a misunderstanding/tapes have been lost etc.

Saudis definitely have no intention of admitting to this murder but their backs are really against the wall right now and the Turks definitely do not want to admit to bugging the Saudis so some compromise will most likely have to be reached, especially if the Turks do have real and incriminating evidence. Saudi money carries great weight in the world.

What backs? What wall? In two weeks everyone will have forgotten it.

About as likely as us winning the league with Lukaku. They are adversaries on many fronts.

“They have belatedly realised the stakes in this,” said one of the British officials at the 2016 meeting with the crown prince. “And he has been shocked to learn that the absolute power he has at home he doesn’t have abroad. Even in Turkey there are rules. Putin learned the same in the UK. And if this guy is going to survive this, he is going to be indebted to Ankara and Turkey for sparing everyone from the shocking truth.”

The Saudi government investment fund owns a big chunk of Uber (and Tesla) and lots of the worlds solar farms... Basically they are going to be difficult to boycot
Its difficult to boycot them as individual. Governments could hurt them really badly. An upgraded version of the Magnitsky Act would prevent them from havig any access to western societies and thats what they want/need.

People were so gullible with the whole women driving thing. Finally, women are allowed to drive, hurray Saudi Arabia! They're "reforming".
It was a necessary PR move which they probably hated to do, but it's these kind of actions that shuts people up for a while.

It would also make them more insular and potentially stop any reforms and become an Uber well funded (literally) state version of Isis... So just depends what we want / need in the west as well

Isis was a version of them.
