And let's not forget almost every terrorist on 9/11 was Saudi.Saudi Arabia is a rogue state. Lets not forget they kidnapped an entire sovereign country's prime minister.

Another thing that's being airbrushed from history. Quite remarkable how they've gotten away with it. And feck Obama for protecting them. And let's not forget almost every terrorist on 9/11 was Saudi.
I am sure 80% of Americans think Osama was Afghan too.Another thing that's being airbrushed from history. Quite remarkable how they've gotten away with it. And feck Obama for protecting them.
Since when was saudi a civilised state?Horrific to think that anyone, anywhere would commit a crime such as this, but for any sort of “civilised state” to commit it gives me the shivers. Beggars belief that it could be carried out on the orders of a country’s rulers and followed through by diplomats on another country’s territory. Saudi diplomats will not be welcome guests in Turkey or anywhere else if they have murdered Khashoggi in this way.
Safe to say the Saudi consulate won’t need a public entrance for the foreseeable future, whatever the result of this investigation.
More than that I'd sayI am sure 80% of Americans think Osama was Afghan too.

So the Turks were spying on the Saudis ( a common thing in Embassies ) and actually heard the murder take place. Can't get anymore concrete than that.Tweet

Do you mean Bush?Another thing that's being airbrushed from history. Quite remarkable how they've gotten away with it. And feck Obama for protecting them.
No, Obama. Obama shielded the Saudis from litigation by 9/11 victims' families.Do you mean Bush?
Oh, I thought Bush was the president on Sept 11, 2001. My bad.No, Obama. Obama shielded the Saudis from litigation by 9/11 victims' families.
He was but the families tried to sue SA in 2015. Something Obama administration blocked.Oh, I thought Bush was the president on 9/11. My bad.
Well, after all that punishment to Saudi Arabia from Bush for 7.5 full years, you were not satisfied? He was but the families tried to sue SA in 2015. Something Obama administration blocked.
What on earth are you on about?!Well, after all that punishment to Saudi Arabia from Bush for 7.5 full years, you were not satisfied?
Do you mean Bush?
Oh, I thought Bush was the president on Sept 11, 2001. My bad.
But you are talking about Obama who became president on January 20, 2009. That's 7.5 years later. WTF!!!
Jees this guy hasn't found a stick he didn't prefer the wrong end of yet today!Well, after all that punishment to Saudi Arabia from Bush for 7.5 full years, you were not satisfied?
You've lost me.Well, after all that punishment to Saudi Arabia from Bush for 7.5 full years, you were not satisfied?
What are you babbling on about?Well, after all that punishment to Saudi Arabia from Bush for 7.5 full years, you were not satisfied?
My stomach churns just reading this.Turkish authorities have audio and visual evidence that shows journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul just over a week ago, a source familiar with the ongoing investigation told CNN.
The source, who was briefed by a Western intelligence agency, says the evidence showed there had been an assault and a struggle inside the consulate. There is also evidence of the moment that Khashoggi was killed, the source said.
The foreign intelligence service was shocked by the nature of the evidence, provided in a briefing from Turkish officials, the source told CNN.
The audio recording in particular provided "persusisve and gruesome evidence" that a Saudi team dispatched to Istanbul was responsible for Khashoggi's death, the Post reported.
"You can hear his voice and the voices of men speaking Arabic," one person with knowledge of the recording told the Post. "You can hear how he was interrogated, tortured and then murdered."

Seems pretty dumb to even do it there. Surely the Saudis had entertained the idea they were being spied on?So the Turks were spying on the Saudis ( a common thing in Embassies ) and actually heard the murder take place. Can't get anymore concrete than that.
Good position. If only US could stop meddling with non-US things in other countries too.Tweet

They may have just been that cavalier that after months of attempting to lure him back to Saudi with fake job offers and the like, that this was literally their only chance of doing the deed.Seems pretty dumb to even do it there. Surely the Saudis had entertained the idea they were being spied on?
Or maybe they're just taking a leaf out of Russia's book and not caring who knows what while denying it.
More and more pulling out of this conference now.A high-profile investment summit in Riyadh later this month is rapidly becoming a fiasco as prominent businesses and media groups pulled out over Saudi Arabia’s alleged involvement in the disappearance and possible murder of the Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

This.Surely killing him in their own embassy is more of a message to others than an attempt to conceal the deed?

Right. If he kept the same energy with Iran I'd understand it. He won't though, for obvious reasons.Good position. If only US could stop meddling with non-US things in other countries too.
why.Lindsey Graham saying MBS can't become king of Saudi anymore. This should be interesting.
Lindsey wants to use the Magnitsky Act on MBS. This will clearly not end well.why.
It was only a Permanent Resident not an American that was killed.
Besides Billions in Military Sales.
Priorities.
on the other hand...just think of all the Saudi assets in the US.Lindsey wants to use the Magnitsky Act on MBS. This will clearly not end well.
It would still be clear who did it. But they could deny it plausibly. Actions like this, when they accumulate may influence decisions regarding Saudi Arabia in countries that are actual democratic republics.Surely killing him in their own embassy is more of a message to others than an attempt to conceal the deed?
