Pretty much. This isn't a new thing. When he died last year there was a whole thread discussing the various allegations around him, which was curtailed by the usual "why can't we have an RIP thread without anyone saying nasty things" business. This is also by no means the nastiest thing rumoured about him either. Though that's not to say fire begat smoke, etc.
Some favour from Savile (having Glitter on his show) seeing as GG hadn't had a hit in the top 100 for six years at the time of broadcasting. Hmm.

It was reported on the news last night that someone has come forward claiming that they saw Gary Glitter abusing someone in Jimmy Saviles dressing room, while Jimmy Savile was also abusing someone in there at the same time.

I used to be a big Gary Glitter fan when I was a kid & it was a bit of a shock when the revelations came out. That clip of him shows what a showman & performer he was although it's a bit ageing rocker by that stage tbf, then the sick feck turns out to be a paedo.

Well Bryan I base that on watching the Louis Theroux documentary. In it Jimmy talked about 'sorting people out' in his Glasgow nightclub. Anyone who owns a nightclub in Glasgow needs to have something about them. I also found it odd that he said that he 'hated children' because people accused him of being a pedo. Why? Because it was odd.
I was not basing it on a 'vibe'. To the contrary, I used to admire his achievements.

The trouble I'm having with all of this is that as far as I can tell he's had his way with 14 year-old girls. Currently the age of consent in several European countries is 14 and I think it may even be 13 in Spain.

As Irwin says, these cases appear to never have been consensual. If true, there can be no debate as to the heinousness of his crimes.

Because they were terrified? It's often much easier to come to terms / come out with the truth in these situations when the perpetrator is long gone.
I think that was explained in a previous report. to summarize, one girl that spoke up was told to be prepared for the media circus that follows such an accusation and as she was young she was not prepared to do that.
