I met him once in Brent Cross.

Was with his wife but was still happy to take time to chat with me and my mate who was an Arsenal fan.

Seemed like a genuine nice guy. Will be missed.

RIP

God that’s awful :(

RIP

Hopefully a minute’s silence for him before tonight’s final. Former Atletico Madrid player.

I remember being jealous when he made a quick impact at Arsenal. He didn't fulfil that initial promise but was still an excellent player and a very successful young man. Very sad to hear of his life being cut short like this.

Holy shit. RIP.
I remember thinking arsenal got the better player when he start scoring important goals for fun for them while Ronaldo was still showboating without scoring many for us.

Fecking hell, hate hearing about these shock deaths at such a young age. RIP

Thought he was a really skillful player at Arsenal and was happy he got success later on at Real and Sevilla.

I hope so.

The likes of Vorm, Milner, Llorente and Alderwiereld all will with have played against him. Maybe a few others.

Pochetinno also managed against him.

It says in the BBC article I think that he was set to return as a coach to Arsenal. 35 years old. Feck that's terrible.

Sad news, had a near miss myself driving a few days ago when a lunatic was speeding round a blind bend.

Very sad indeed.
What a player he was.
Another reminder to the rest of us that life is delicate and can be short.

Impossible to deny that Utd were looking to kick him off his game - regarded as very dangerous presumably.

But this guy was rolling around on the floor every time anyone went anywhere near him - leading to people reckoning he didn't fancy it presumably.

Would get a lot more protection from the Nevs now, obviously.

Shocked at this news, same age as me as well

Always remember him scoring for Sevilla as a kid and one of his teammates bit his cock as he was celebrating.

Awful news. Was some player on his day, I remember us specifically targeting him with fouls to stop him. Such a young family left behind :(

Will always be remembered as an invincible. RIP Jose.
