Genuinely, do people not get that it's the team he manages that gets on people's nerves?
Benitez
Dalglish
Rodgers
Klopp
All largely disliked by United fans. Four very different characters with distinct approaches but with one significant thing in common. It's fine, I get it. It's sane to did like a rival manager. But the lengths some go to to rationalise why these men aren't their cup of tea is amusing. Creating narratives about what's wrong with them - as if who they manage isn't the issue.
We've arrived at Klopp and the angle being taken is his gregarious and demonstrative nature which is regarded as disingenuous despite it being a pretty consistent behaviour trait his whole career. With a Rodgers it was his two-armed celebrations and verbosity in press conferences. There's always a good reason to dismantle these guys' characters...
But the truth is that the only genuine thing that gets people on here is who he manages. Unless, of course, these same people were offering the same commentary during his time in Germany.
Nope, it's who he manages. End of. Accept it. Hate but at least be honest why.
Close but nah. The main reason people dislike them is because they're cnuts. Most football managers are cnuts; its not exclusive to being manager of Liverpool. Being Liverpool manager gives Klopp's cuntishness greater relevance to Man Utd fans, although even then plenty (including me) found him an irritant at Dortmund. But it's not some massive inconsistency to dislike all of those people.
People will do mental gymnastics to justify how their cnut isn't a cnut but the other teams cnut is but the truth of the matter is I struggle to think of a single manager I think is particularly likeable.
You should question how people are able to criticise Klopp whilst defending Mourinho etc but the truth of the matter is you already know the answer. See how quickly Klopp's 'consistent behaviour trait' becomes a stick to beat him with by Liverpool fans if and when results go against him.
Ultimately football managers, regardless of what team they manage, are a bunch of flawed individuals. It's more interesting to see how a fan base deluded them self into thinking otherwise whilst they are there. See the shift in attitudes towards Moyes and Van Gaal and your own fan bases opinion towards Rodgers.
Although saying that I can't particularly think of a reason to dislike Ancelotti and he's managed a who's who of the world's least likeable clubs but I'm sure there's people out there who do and who can point to a similar charge sheet against him.
