Have Liverpool been that great? Half time analysis was a bit of a joke. Anyone would think Liverpool were 4-0 up.
Even at HT it is Villa - 3 attempts and 4 shots on target to Liverpool 8 attempts and 4 shots on target. They are actually not playing bad.. at 2-0, the stats were something like 7 liverpool attempts to 2 for villa.. with 1 shot on targetOnly Liverpool, truly, could have their young side obliterated and still be getting praise from many quarters
Do you think anyone would notice if we switched the numbers around?Have Liverpool been that great? Half time analysis was a bit of a joke. Anyone would think Liverpool were 4-0 up.
C’mon when you have 11 youngsters against men this usually happens. We lost to Astana doing the exact same thing.I thought van den Berg and the Hoever kid were highly rated. They both look out of depth so far.
I'm only counting the ones that hit the back of the onion bagEven at HT it is Villa - 3 attempts and 4 shots on target to Liverpool 8 attempts and 4 shots on target.
It's league only, Pool already lost a game in the CL vs Naples. The good news is , the longer it continues, the sooner it's going to end. But it's to no avail, the league title is in the bagYeah, could well be, isn't it.
I get confused by their horrible habit of never losing.
We did score twice over there thoughC’mon when you have 11 youngsters against men this usually happens. We lost to Astana doing the exact same thing.
Well Redknapp was going about how wonderful Liverpool have been. Has he thought Aston Villa have allowed that to happen so they can counter? You can’t play well if you’re 4-0 down.Do you think anyone would notice if we switched the numbers around?
And half of RedCafe antiOle-brigade wanted Ole out.C’mon when you have 11 youngsters against men this usually happens. We lost to Astana doing the exact same thing.
They are awful, caught in possession, sloppy passes galore, naive defending. They are actually not playing bad.. at 2-0, the stats were something like 7 liverpool attempts to 2 for villa.. with 1 shot on target
No you are correct. That's still undecided. Fulham will also get money if he's sold from Liverpool but the tribunal has to decide the compensation that Liverpool have to pay. Not sure how they can decide that fee. Honestly thought it was just a small standard fee for the upbringing since he hadn't signed a contract. Not sure why Liverpool should pay more than a club in the Championship who gets a player from a League 1 team or something. Sure Elliott is a bigger talent but he's done nothing to warrant a fee. That's what the Tribunal is for I guess.I thought it went to a FA Tribunal to set a fee. Perhaps I'm wrong!
Klopp is far away so he can't controll the wind, VAR and all other factors that make them win normally. And half of RedCafe antiOle-brigade wanted Ole out.
So I say, Klopp out!
Well they are called goals and i am not counting them tonightI'm only counting the ones that hit the back of the onion bag
Yup pretty sloppy play - as expected when you play 11 kids without a single player from the first team squad of 23. The praise was for their attacking play and for not being cowed down. They are awful, caught in possession, sloppy passes galore, naive defending.
They are 4 goals down, that doesn't happen by playing well!!
Neither are Barca from last seasonWell they are called goals and i am not counting them tonight

What? Their fans hate Liverpool and UtdWonder if Villa might slow it down now.

They played the kids against arsenal though with some experienced players. Couldn't defend then either, but when you play Arsenal you will always score a lot at least.
You forgot the surface
I'm surprised like people have said they haven't put a scattering of first team players in with the kids obviously not VVD/ Mane etc but it would have helped them I know we used manly kids in our Europa lately but we had already qualified and used a more experienced team in our last game to make sure we topped the group
Really? You expect a bunch of players who regularly play together to be sloppy and get caught in possession repeatedly in dangerous areas on the pitch?Well they are called goals and i am not counting them tonight

And we will mourn being dumped out of the cup as did they last season. I am sure both of us feel the same sadness.Neither are Barca from last season
That's something of a paradoxThey played the kids against arsenal though with some experienced players. Couldn't defend then either, but when you play Arsenal you will always score a lot at least.
Ohho ok. They are playing shit. Happy?Really? You expect a bunch of players who regularly play together to be sloppy and get caught in possession repeatedly in dangerous areas on the pitch?
Ok then.
The so called brilliant attacking play has been non existent this second half, rather like it was for 35 mins of the first.
Yes, I grieveAnd we will mourn being dumped out of the cup as did they last season. I am sure both of us feel the same sadness.
As Ole might say," They will learn from this."Ohho ok. They are playing shit. Happy?
I was just pointing out a positive aspect to their game that I genuinely felt in the second half. A team can have some positives and a lot of negatives in a game.
Still should be 5 thoughVilla taking it very easy now.
Wrong hair colour. Was that one of the Longstaff brothers
Definitely. For all his faults - giving youth the chance would definitely help in the long run. Although trying it in first team PL holds a lot more risk than youth team league cup. But fair fecks if it plays out and ole manages to pull it back up from here.As Ole might say," They will learn from this."
I just enjoy watching Liverpool suffer, sorryOhho ok. They are playing shit. Happy?

Come on if they get 6 we deserve 2-3 too.. just now their keeper had a wonder reaction save moment. And a couple of chances in first half too.I just enjoy watching Liverpool suffer, sorry
They haven't really turned up this second half, feels like a testimonial now, Villa just knocking the ball about and showboating, Villa could and should be 6 to the good.
